Fresh from LIV Golf Adelaide, Aussie Marc Leishman fired a sizzling 61 at his home track to equal his own course record — but it still wasn’t enough to win the day’s stableford competition.

Leishman last week fell victim to the dreaded ‘golf bandit’ as he took a trip back to his old stomping ground, Warrnambool Golf Club.
Playing off a mighty 5+ handicap, Leishman posted an incredible nine birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free, 11-under round, giving him a whopping 42 points in the stableford competition.
And yet, he was still bested by one point.
The winner instead was a player by the name of David Greed, a 12-handicapper who played surely one of the most memorable rounds of his life, signing for a massive 43 points.
“There’s bandits everywhere!” joked popular golf fan account Flushing It.
The result went viral after Leishman’s scorecard was shared on Reddit, and was called the “biggest win of Greedy’s career”.
Another user joked: “Greedy will be living large on that story for years to come”.
And who wouldn’t?
