Fox Sports’ lead College Football analyst Joel Klatt is joined by Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day to discuss the Buckeyes’ National Championship run as well as what is next for the program. Coach Day gives his real-time reaction as news of Chip Kelly’s departure for the NFL broke during the recording. The two discuss the challenges that now come with being a National Champion like losing both coordinators and, in this current landscape in college football, tampering with rosters. Day also recounts what was going through his head as Will Howard released the deep ball to Jeremiah Smith late in the National Championship Game vs Notre Dame. Klatt wraps up the pod with his Super Bowl pick as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs go for a historic 3-peat when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

refreshing to see coach happy again
college football is not only a sport but now a business
Ryan Day seems like a whole new man after winning the natty. So happy for him and we are lucky to have him. Go bucks 🏆🌰
Awesome interview as always Joel. I’m a buckeye fan so I’m biased but Ryan Day always seems to give honest and thought provoking takes about the state of CFB.
Two of some of my top favorite people in college football. Great video!
Thanks Urban, you killed it picking Coach Day! The legacy goes on and on
No Gold Pants
Tough to see the coaching flight, but happy for each of them. We’ll get great new coaches.
Other teams don't need to see the buckeye spring game to know they want our players
Paper champions! Lost 2 games, one of them to an unranked team, at home while being favored by 20+ points.
Hartline to OC. Then find an O line coach, a WR coach, and a DC. Not the easiest thing to do even for Ohio State.
Coach Day with the huge weight off his chest, looks so different. I think OSU becomes even more dangerous now.
Go bucks ! Best coach in CFB
Why doesn't ohio state think outside the box for next o.c how about asking Mike mccarthy to be o.c, he was an asst coach at ft hays state in kansas back in the 90s, he is good with qbs
Excellent coach, and has integrity. I hope Rodgers can get Wazzu into the national spotlight and build a team like Day has. Go Cougs!
Love coach day
I mean what does a rebuild year look like for OSU? 10-2 and a CFP birth with a win or two? They're fine.
I get it the Chiefs have had past success but HOW can anyone go against that Eagles lineup? They might have one of the most talented lineups on paper (and on the field) in the history of the NFL. I just can’t go against that Philly lineup even when considering the Chiefs Super Bowl successes. Now if recent history is any indication and what transpired at the end of Super Bowl 57 the Eagles
May have to beat the refs as well. They will have to make it so sure that the refs can’t have any chance to fix it.
Buckeye nation loves you, Ryan day❤ thank you for the wonderful seasons we’ve had with you. Hope there are many more 🎉❤😊
Now everybody can say Ryan day is one of the best college football coaches ever❤
Only if Michigan and Jim hairball had some integrity😊 I never lie I never cheat never steal😂 well Jimbo, you do all those😊
Just don’t talk about Michigan
Coach Day will win multiple National Championships at Ohio State! If he is left with all the resources he will one day could be the best coach in the OSU history! Go Buckeyes!
wow. Ryan Day talking about the whole locker room already deciding that if the game was on the line and it was man on man coverage, the ball was going to Smith. "The decision was already made." The premade belief in this play I think was incredibly powerful on the execution side, to win that national championship. Every little thing has to go right to get to the end. What a season.
Ryan Day is intelligent and articulate. That really comes through. Great interview!
The culture Ryan Day has fostered and the amount of seniors and not just being experienced the seniors were great at leadership and being great teammates cannot be overlooked. Having great players isn’t enough they have to be great teammates.
That poor girl grabbed her phone and ran like she had warrants after crashing the golf cart.
Talk titles when you have “earned it” vs “buying it”!
Coach looks well rested and energized. No dark bags under his eyes like the past 4 years. This natty was very healthy for him.
Lots of kudo's to Day in the comments. But wait there's more. Some of these same fans will want him fired if he wins the natty next year also but loses one game, The Game. If he loses to TTUN, he must go, he is the worst…blah blah blah. Best run in College Football. The players who are on the field were Unleashed during the run. From Will Howard to TreVeyon, to Sawyer. They were full speed all the way. Day recruits, manages, but during "The Game" he didn't miss field goals. Gave 1 million to charity, fosters great young men and the culture at OSU, Sometimes you lose a game.
