Located just outside the picturesque, medieval market town of Ludlow the golf club has breathtaking panoramic views of some of Shropshire’s most famous hills.
Ludlow Golf Club, founded in 1889, is the oldest course in the Union of Shropshire and Herefordshire Golf Clubs and still retains many of its original features and charm. Based on sand and gravel this James Braid designed heathland course, often described as an inland links, is one of, if not the driest course in the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The course measures 6277 off the white tees and offers excellent playing conditions all year round on permanent tees and greens… with electric trolleys and buggies available to hire whatever the season. Softly sprung fairways with fast and true greens means this relatively flat course offers a fair and competitive test of golf whatever your skill level.
Ludlow Golf Club has ample practise facilities including a driving range, launch monitor and putting green.
Our resident professional Russell Price has been with the club for over 20 years and offers the finest advice, value for money and of course the warm welcome so synonymous with Ludlow Golf Club. His professional shop is well stocked with top brands and has everything you could possibly need for a successful round of golf.
Ludlow has a large and comfortable function area where you can mingle with the friendly locals. The bar is well stocked with a wide selection of drinks including many locally brewed delights. Our talented chef will make sure you are well fed on delicious, locally sourced, food after you have finished enjoying your round on the magnificent course with its splendid views.

Ludlow Golf Club is simple to find, situated but half a mile from the main trunk road through the region, (the A49) it is easy to get to Ludlow Golf Club from any direction.
