  1. It is if handicaps aren't 'dodgy' keeps everyone in the mix for a bad hole or two…. thats why we have different comps to suit everyone at every ability but no handicap should be higher than 36 in my opinion…. 28 really

  2. It's an inconvenient truth but Price is right, single figure players don't often care about Stableford points and they tend to view as a method of masking blow-up holes for higher handicaps. If you not having many blow-up holes then it doesn't really benefit you.

    I totally agree with Green that it's an easy to way to know if someone has played well for their level or not – and of course it means you can have a fair game with any of your mates, which is the beauty of golf after all.
