  1. This is really good stuff, I would love to get an in person lesson from you sometime. You coming to Seattle any time soon lol. I started only playing forehand and after a forearm injury I have spent the better part of 4 months getting my backhand shots up to par with my forehand shots.

  2. Ow wow, a forehand video that doesn't start out with "First let's talk about the footwork" (looking at you Sexton) and that ends up taking almost the whole video and doesn't really help anybody other than those who already could throw forehand.
As someone who can barely throw a forehand (as in, they look quite a bit like Abbey's do), I'm going to give this a try next time I'm at a field.

  3. That was a great video!! Next time you cover forehands, can you explain how one controls nose angle on forehands? We know the 'pour the tea' for backhands, but what do we do to keep the disc nose down on forehands? Thanks for these tutorials, Robbie !

  4. Robbie, I have been watching and trying to incorporate your teachings into my game. In the last year, I have added 50 feet to my max drives, brought my average score down more than 5 strokes, and increased my number of birdies by 20%!! Thank you for your videos!!

  5. For me I can’t get the nose angle down if I use the stack grip. But if I use the power grip nose angle is fine. Quit trying to understand and use the power grip

  6. Wow that was amazing to watch her throw that much better in such a short amount of time. Really gives me something to try and see what happens. Soon as I get a nice enough day I'm going out and start with the chair and work from there. Thanks for showing that as it should be easy enough to follow those steps next time I get out to practice.

  7. Robbie I think this is a great video to make people see both the potential of a player but also just tell encouraging you are as a coach. Well done my friend

  8. What a great teacher, you did a great job teaching her, and I think you actually just taught me how to throw a forehand too.

  9. The amount of improvement after just one session with you Robbie is incredible. You have a great ability to teach. I'm going to share this with a few of my friends who could use this help. Thanks for what you do Robbie.

  10. I've been looking for drills to better my forehand shot. Great content. Need help learning how to skip shot next. Can't find any "how to's"

  11. Hey Robbie, I'm new to the channel: Long time player first time improver.

I just want to drop a line and say I love the energy you bring to your videos you keep um' fun entertaining and most importantly informational. I haven't even watched this yet. But I've been working on my forearm for the last week after throwing back hand only for 20 years. super excited to check out your takeaways. I love sending them to my buddies who are just picking up the sport. It's amazing to see their improvement with the tips and tricks you give us.

  12. Heck yeah, my elbow won't let me rip forehands but I think this video shows I won't have to rip em. Going to try this out. Thanks for the vid..

  13. Amazing video – there is nobody else that has this content and it’s appropriate for the largest percentage of disc golfers – Bravo! 👏

  14. This is great, always wanted to see a form video that starts a beginner without too much theory, which gets in the way tbh. Gonna try this out in the field later today.

  15. This is pretty much what I needed to get myself to reset and correct some forehand issues. Spent a year working on forehand and was up to 335 feet, got injured and made a change to avoid injury, and the resulting change led to a worse forehand and another injury. Back to square one and hopefully I can get to where I can control flippy 7-9 speeds again as well as get the neutral to stable 10-12 speeds into the 330's again.

  16. I have done the Chair drill a couple of times when I had a moment at work and nobody else was in the office and when I went out to play the next time, I could throw a small forehand with almost no wobble. I was thrilled because my forehands have been absolutely horrible to watch and would never throw one in front of anyone other than my husband they were so embarrassing. I can't wait to practice more!!!!

  17. so something that helped me, that i think would tie into your chair drill VERY well, is limiting my forehand reachback. i found that if i stayed closer to the feel of the chair drill, tight and compact, it translated to better throws. i notice she really reaches back quit far for a little 150 ft up. maybe do the chair drill without the chair for a little while and slowly try adding distance while keeping the compact chair drill at the front of your mind
