Courses To Play in 2025 | NLU Pod, Ep 958

We’ve often discussed courses we want to play one day and, for this pod, we decided to formalize our lists and see what can be accomplished in 2025. Soly, DJ, Tron and Neil all divided our individual lists into five categories: one hour from home, day trips, Golden Age, Wild Cards, and a personal top five Bucket List.

Time Stamps:
00:00 – Intro & Courses Within an Hour
34:00 – Day Trips
51:00 – Golden Age
1:01:00 – Wild Card
1:11:30 – Bucket List

  1. Member of the Sugarloaf Field Club here: Would recommend, Neil! come through. TC: Glens Falls is up past Saratoga. Phenomenal. Speaking of Cooperstown, Leatherstocking is Dev Emmett masterpiece too

  2. “Whitinsville” like the color TC! Don’t get trapped in bamabearcat’s faulty pronunciation back from the which states have the best golf pod. Central MA too. All-Star nine hole’r.

  3. for my Minnesota boys out there I want to play Chaska Town Course for the first time this year. Lets launch em!

  4. Soly, I'm a caddie out at Oakmont, gotta try to get out here for media day. Would love to be on your bag too!

  5. Glens Falls is a wee bit further than Cooperstown. It's about an hour north of Albany. I played high school golf there and it is mint.

  6. This was valuable. Had google earth opened for this whole pod. Lots of pausing and a rabbit holes.

  7. Awesome pod guys! The Park in West Palm was a great time, Jax guys definitely need to make it down there

  8. With Neil, DJ and TC having a bucket-list course from New Zealand, can we hope for a full-blown Tourist Sauce over here at some point in a few years time?

  9. Jax/904 guys: St. John’s golf club down in the south of st augustine is great now post renovation. Stillwater is a fantastic new course . And agreed, Hyde park has fantastic bones. Palatka is a blast to play of the OG Donald Ross courses

  10. Jax/904 guys: St. John’s golf club down in the south of st augustine is great now post renovation. Stillwater is a fantastic new course . And agreed, Hyde park has fantastic bones. Side one —> Palatka golf club. OG Donald Ross design.

  11. Shoop could be soooo good if someone took the time to actually maintain the course in a competent manner. You're getting what you pay for, that's for sure.

  12. Whoah… I may now live in Germany but I am a Central NY boy, raised a 15 minute drive from the home of baseball. Glens Falls is a 2 hour drive from Cooperstown. The Leatherstocking Golf Corse in Cooperstown is epic and worth a play. The Central NY golf scene is criminally underrated. So many good courses scattered around.

  13. An England trip with newly minted fellow Titleist ambassador Peter Finch would be awesome. Peter Finch is responsible for the Formby courses being high on my bucket lost!

  14. Terry Hot might surpass St Rappeo as the most memorable two words to come out of Neil’s mouth. Start printing the t-shirts NOW!

  15. Had to chuckle at Neil's description of where Union League National is, "it's in jersey on the east side of Philly". It is just off the most expensive island of the South Jersey shore points lol

  16. DJ is such a good communicator, great mix of transition, humor, back stories, such relatable content. Must be that Peoria higher education haha.

  17. Great shout with Moortown TC – I would recommend the Yorkshire Challenge which is a 3 day event in September – Ganton, Lindrick and Moortown

  18. A Spring Lake / Hollywood / Deal (old DR design with two holes ruined but 16 relatively unmolested) would be an epic triple header. Played HS matches on them; had no idea what I was playing.
