If you’re a passionate golf follower, you’re well aware that the golfing world is at a pivotal moment. The format is evolving, the audience is expanding, and most importantly, the game is growing. But can we attribute some of this growth to LIV Golf? Well, the stats certainly say yes, at least internationally.

As their motto goes, LIV Golf is getting “louder” this year. LIV secured a significant partnership with Fox Sports, a sponsor Greg Norman has been eyeing since inception.

Interestingly, this deal is finally yielding results, with the Saudi-backed club gaining momentum through broadcasting. While it may seem obvious that LIV would thrive with Fox Sports.

After all, FS1 (since 2013) and FS2 (since 2003)—the channels broadcasting LIV Golf’s international leagues—have been generating significant traffic and dominating the international media industry during the 21st century.

During LIV Golf Adelaide (February 14-16), the Saudi-backed club witnessed a remarkable 10-fold increase in viewership from its debut event.

According to NUCLR Golf on X, the final round of LIV Golf Adelaide attracted approximately 249,000 US golf fans tuning in”on FOX between 11 PM and 2:30 AM,” while Channel Seven attracted 225K Aussie fans on 16th February.

This was a significant jump from their first league, in which viewership was as low as 12,000 at LIV Golf Ridaya. Adrian Meronk, a member of Cleeks GC, took home the $4M check from Riyad after carding a total of 17 under par.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Joaquin Niemann proved himself by doing “something special” as asked by the Torque GC captain. The 26-year-old celebrated his win in Austrian classic style, drinking champagne out of his shoe after finishing with a strong 13-under par.

No doubt, the league is working hard to fulfill Greg Norman’s vision. The next event is set to take place at the Hong Kong Golf Club for LIV Golf Hong Kong, March 7-9. That coincides with the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.

It will be very interesting to see if they can stack up once again.
