Granddaughter of Donald Trump, Kai Trump, speaks at RNC
Granddaughter of Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Trump Jr., Kai Trump, spoke about her grandfather at the Republican National Convention.
Kai Trump, Donald Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter, has amassed millions of followers on social media, documenting laid-back hangouts with her presidential grandpop and Elon Musk to a full-glam getup on-stage during Inauguration Day festivities.
But it was before her grandfather’s presidential victory and even before she made her political debut at the Republican National Convention last year that the teen made it clear what drives her: Golf.
The rising young golfer, who is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and ex-wife Vanessa Trump, has shared her love of the game in dozens of video clips — including her first-ever Instagram post on Feb. 23, 2021, standing alongside her grandfather and Tiger Woods. In the caption, a young Trump wished the 15-time major champion a speedy recovery after he suffered serious leg injuries in a single-car crash.
It came full circle over the weekend when Woods and Kai Trump were spotted at the Genesis Invitational in Torrey Pines, hours after Woods and Donald Trump played their own round.
With a golf scholarship and a just-signed, big-name endorsement deal in her pocket, the teen’s next move is a major golf tourney, playing in a field that includes Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie. Here’s more to know about the New York-born-turned-Floridian Kai Trump.
