It’s not just about the plastic! Today I’m looking at a piece of gear tailor-made for the winter on the West Coast, Friction Gloves. Touted by the manufacturer to help you improve grip in wet conditions, I try out the gloves on a cold winter’s day here in Port Alberni, and follow up on a PDGA C-Tier tournament that I also wore them in.

  1. I almost always play with a glove on. Most my throws are forehand or thumbers so I like the extra grip for spin. Take the glove off for putting tho, unless the disc is slippery for some reason. I use regular thin grippy work gloves, but they wear out quite fast. I'd wish to have a dedicated set of gloves.

Thanks for the vid, contemplating on acquiring a pair!
