  1. The old style logo looks cool on these. Zero idea on the authenticity of them sadly

  2. LargePiano1622

The trispoke tm logo in the first pic compared to the pic of the five iron in the bag does look a bit sus. Also the finish looks a bit glossy but idk. Compare it more closely to other legit photos online.

  3. I just bought some Taylormade off eBay and they had serial numbers on them, which let me register their warranty.

Are you able to do that at all? Or do they accept any number?

  4. marlboro__man9

Top line looks particularly boxy, don’t know why they’d reshaft and then put the shaft logos up either. I’d stay away. Groove area looks off too

99.9% fake, especially if you paid less than $1200 for them.

The paintfill doesn’t look the cleanest and that topline is pretty thick, but I also haven’t seen these in person so who knows. Did they come with the TM box? If we’re selling new irons I would have/include the factory box which also usually shows specs too.

  7. mercado_n3gro

It might be these photos, but the sheen and saturation of the material in the face (where the grooves are) do not look like the ones I friend has.

Had the same thing happen on Reddit, I bought mine used (no plastic, played for a season or two) and I don’t know why but a lot of people here say shit is fake all the time on these posts, I have no clue how they can tell because comparing mine to online they look exactly the same. Mine are 2021’s, I called TaylorMade and they told me they don’t verify serial numbers anymore but that the fake ones usually look pretty fake, they said to look for rough edges, and the painting in letters and stuff won’t be filled all the way. They had me send some pictures and said they looked legit but they said to be 100% take them to a distributor. You could do the same, but I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle (these look fine) If you really want to give yourself some peace of mind, call TM because any sort of googling or reddit check is going to make you more paranoid.

Hit them on a sim. Fake clubs almost always have very low spin in the middle of the bag compared to the real deal because they skimp on materials and they lack some of the more precise engineering on head weight and center of gravity that helps produce spin on authentic clubs.

  10. Unfortunately. They are 100% fake.

Here are the real ones taken from my buddy’s shop. The face has more gray tone. Yours looks almost orangeish,. Also, my buddy who’s been in the golf business for 30 years says Golf Pride doesn’t make such grips with blue paintfills.

Also, the KBS logo is always logo down, not up. Please refer to the real pictures.

    Those are not legit

Fake grips. Golf pride does not make a blue accent grip like that

Fake shaft. KBS logo is upside down

Obvious groove spacing differential and length differences, and those are super orange-ish. And the logo is off on those too.

But, use the serial numbers you were given for each club and register them online. Then you’ll know.

But, i think you’ve been had, sir

  12. stan-thompson

logo up on the shafts is a dead giveaway – sorry amigo

  13. Slow_Construction654

Face too glossy, fat top line, logos up. I have the real ones, fake.

  14. Mediocre_pylut

Fake, the KBS logo doesn’t look anything like an actual KBS decal, the copper is a bit “bright”, and that TM logo looks odd.

  15. Kirillkirillkirlll

I had a fake Scotty for awhile and putted lights out with that thing, until I leaned on it marking my ball and broke the head right off…if you hit em well and they don’t fall apart, enjoy!

  16. Ok_Gur_1170

they remind me of the cobra rf33s with that copper-ish look

  17. mr_mac_tavish

Sponsored by IrnBru. Those would go down well in Scotland.

  18. SuperStubbs9

These are fake. Real copper P790’s all come with black shafts, the vintage Taylormade logo is too thin on the spokes as well.

  19. Cavemonkeygolfs

If it wasn’t custom it was sold with a black shaft

  20. HollywoodDonuts

This is why you just buy the chinese knockoffs from the start.

  21. KingGerbz

Look at the logo bro… it looks like a thong bikini.

  22. HorrorQuirky1420

If it makes you feel better OP, some of the fakes out there are literally so good that even the performance can’t be told apart. This is why I think it’s funny people still worry about ‘fake’ grips.

  23. RenegadeWV3

I have these and I will tell you now, My face is not that bright. The originals also came with all black KBS shafts and custom grips. The shine is also super bright, mine is very dual and muted. I bought mine direct from Taylormade

  24. stewwwwart

There are people on yt who hit chinese knockoff p790 and they all reported they were basically the same performance numbers

  25. Acallforbindy

You can buy those on temu
S880 is the real brand, but some are labeled p790

  26. HitsDifferent32

Seems you got your answer already, that top line looks super funky to me as well.

  27. Even they are fake. My buddy had them and I have the real ones. You can tell much on the difference. Perfom almost the exact same. Hopefully you didn’t pay up kn them. Change the grips if you do, those are pretty bad from what my buddy said.

  28. panda__monium

The real head shape of 790s don’t look like this, the toe is way too prominent on these fakes

  29. Top line is too thick and color is slightly off. As an owner of copper p790s can confirm these are 100% fake

  30. Theonlykd

Honestly dude… if you hit them well, like how they look, like what you paid.. don’t sweat it. Maybe they’re fake. Maybe they’re not.

  31. Is it just me or does the logo in pic 2 look like a pale person wearing a thong.
