I tried the new TaylorMade P790 irons, and in this video, I’ll test out the 9, 7, and 5 irons to give you an honest breakdown of my experience with them. The P790s are the original “players’ distance” irons, combining the forgiveness and distance of game improvement clubs with the feel and control of more traditional players’ irons. These clubs have been hugely popular and have had a massive impact on the market, so much so that TaylorMade has been under pressure to keep improving them with every new iteration. The P790s have set such high expectations that any new update needs to deliver on their reputation or risk disappointing loyal fans.

In this review, I’ll talk about how these irons perform in terms of distance, accuracy, feel, and forgiveness, and I’ll compare them to the previous generation to see if they still hold up. Whether you’re a low-handicap player looking for a more forgiving iron or a mid-handicapper searching for a versatile set, this video will give you all the information you need to decide if the new P790s are the right choice for your game. Stick around to find out whether TaylorMade’s latest release can continue to live up to the hype!

Welcome to NCG Your Golf. This channel is for you, the dedicated club golfer to help you improve your game and enjoy your golf more.

We specialise in equipment reviews and golf instruction, and we are lucky enough to play some of the Top 100 golf courses in GB&I.

The channel is hosted by PGA Professional Jack Backhouse, and he will help you improve your golf by helping you fix your slice, fix your gook, help you drive the ball longer, strike your irons pure, and help you draw and fade your golf shots.

Steve Carroll, an R&A rules official will often stop by to ensure you are not breaking the rules and get the opinion of an average club golfer.

Jack will dive deep into technology in reviews of all the latest golf equipment, helping you decide which is the longest driver, which fairway wood will stop you from topping the ball, and which wedges will pitch it closer, so you can lower your scores.

  1. Wouldnt it be good if manufacturers agreed lofts – or stop the numbering and just print the lofts on them – I mean a 4 iron 20 degrees – thats a joke – thats a 3 iron in every other set of clubs – I can hit my 8 iron 180 yards – yes because your 8 is the same loft as my 6
