The Performance Of This NEW Ping G440 Hybrid Blew Me Away!

  1. Hi James. I’d like to see you buy some good quality used clubs that are in absolutely ratty condition. Then take them to Bling Your Swing in Durham. Would be interesting to see the process, the results, the options/customisations, whether it’s worth it.

  2. Another idea. Some of us used to be reasonably competent golfers. But we’re getting older. If I buy a set of irons now (or even woods) they’ve got to last from age 64 into my seventies. What shafts to think about? Should I be future proofing from players distance to game improvement? It’s a minefield (especially when you still have some good golf left in you)

  3. I play 4 Ping hybrids (4-7) of various models. When my 12 year old is big enough I will replace mine with new ones and switch to the fairway woods in the longer ones!

  4. Still loving my 2023 Wilson (AI) DynaPwrs-can carry more of them in the bag for less without losing much–or anything- on course. They're fixed shafted, which works just fine for me. Ping's price is, like other premium brands, too much–just my opinion. Enjoy your reviews–keeps me thinking.

  5. Hit the Ping G440 hybrid yesterday, it was ok on perfect strikes but I didn't find it that forgiving. I preferred the Elyte hybrid as it was longer and more forgiving for me. I also hit the Cobra DS adapt and it was the worst for me. I don't like the lack of adjustability of the Elyte.

  6. I’m looking to get a 2hybrid as I can’t hit a 3 wood and the 4 wood I have doesn’t get enough height thus useless to hit into a green.

  7. I picked up the g430 hybrid for $170 the other day at Scheels. It’s the best hybrid over ever hit. If you want to save a couple hundred bucks, I suggest getting that instead.

  8. Don't think the Ping hybrids ever had turbulators James
I've got a pair of G425 one at 18 degrees and the other 23 degrees and they didn't have turbulators
The hosel has a 3 degree flat setting which makes the longer hybrids really suitable for better players

  9. James vs Turbulators is a forever feud lol
Since theyve kept them on so long now and pretty much had the "the best driver" each year since idk if its a winning stance. Which Cobra had a similar thing with the rails and eventually took them away with a "new and improved design" so I have to assume eventually Ping will ditch them. Although it seems like most people liked and want back the rails from I can gather.

  10. It looks like Ping have finally gotten rid of having bang the club on the ground to be able to adjust the head! Bravo!

  11. Third idea. You mainly review American brands. How about a look at some British clubs…do companies such as John Letters or Swilken still exist? Not pushing my Union Jack patriotism, but it would be quite interesting to see.
Maybe forget this idea – I just went online to discover the selection and quality are shockingly disappointing. We can’t even make golf clubs anymore 😱

  12. My £56 Temu calong 4 hybrid works well for me. I think you tried it and worked well for you

  13. I play the G430 5 hybrid and it's one of my favorite clubs. So forgiving, sounds and feels great and it's so fantastic out of the rough. Thanks for the review!
