This course in the Barra da Tijuca area of Rio was opened in 2016, just in time for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The 2016 Summer Olympics was the first time golf had been played at the Olympics since 1904. / This clip offers a short overview over the relatively flat, but tricky and most often windy course that I played in December 2018 (a longer clip might be uploaded soon). There has been some controversy due to the fact that the course is built within the natural reserve “Reserva de Marapendi” in the Barra da Tijuca zone of Rio de Janeiro (at least the course prevents the construction of more buildings in the area).
