Great podcast episode you two! I could listen to you chat golf forever. Hope you keep putting more of these up 😃 ps the lights look much better!!!
Thanks for all the comments on our first Podcast episode where you left loads of suggestions like this topic! We'll be working through your topics over the next few podcast episodes, so be sure to reach out if you have any suggestions 💚
you are both very positive. thank you for sharing these personal insights around tournament golf. I think a lot of golfers could take a lot from your perspective. also I very much enjoy these podcast episodes. you have such clear chemistry that it makes it very easy to tune in and enjoy. keep it up please
I'd prefer an honest video with good & bad shots to watch rather than look how good I am ones. G – haters will always hate …. maybe it's a jealousy thing who knows, but at the end of the day its all about having a Positive Mental Attitude. Be kind to yourself & surround yourself with like minded people, this will always bring your game up. As long as the enjoyment is there even having a laugh will bring you into a happier frame of mind.
Great podcast guys. I love the mix of audio ones and then some video ones from time to time!
I would love to hear a podcast from you discussing who your favourite golfers are
Boom! 🤯 we got lights 💡😆
I appreciate your putting yourselves out there honestly and sharing your golf journey. Most of the doubters are golfers that don’t play tournament golf. Casual and tournament golf are two different things. Casual golf is a pastime. Tournament golf is a sport. TV doesn’t help. They only show the hottest players make mainly “highlight” shots which make the broadcast more enjoyable. I would tell the doubters to attend a professional event on a Thursday or Friday. You will see some “bad” golf. It is a tough game. Even the best hit terrible shots sometimes when it is not their week. I am on the same exact journey as you. I am pulling for both of you to reach your goals! Cheers!
G, don't beat yourself up about having poor scores in competition golf, the fact is the WHS means you will have 12 scores that are bad in 20 and as long as your best 8 average +2, that's your handicap. None of us play our best all the time. Loved the chat.
Great chat today. Really enjoyed it. I can tell you I have never come off the course and looked back and thought I could not have done better. The trick is to be satisfied your score is the best it could have been on that particular day and, first and foremost, you enjoyed it. People will follow your scores this year for sure but 99% will be wishing you all the best.
Have you ever thought of entering the Sunningdale Foursomes? Think that would be a great one for you guys. Really enjoyed listening to your St Andrews Uni experience being an Alumnus there myself. I avoided the performance team too. Didn't look like a lot of fun… There are a lot of boorish people around. Best not to dwell on them too much. You are doing a great job 👍. My main goals are to get my handicap down low enough to play in some cool events like the St Andrews Links Trophy and Amateur Championship, and maybe try for Open Qualifying at some point.. Same as you though, my main aim is to play stress free and actually enjoy it. When you are very stressed a different part of your brain takes over so it is actually good for your results as well as your mental health 😊
Hey folks, enjoying the content. Are there any practice fairways or short game areas in St Andrews that the public can use?
Great pod cast how you both started, really enjoy watching you both play , specially in Scotland links, Georgina take no notice of any negative comments about ladies playing golf I’m 70 years old and play of 11.7 and have learnt more watching ladies play like yourself , Hannah Holden, Iona . ⛳️⛳️
I totally understand where your coming from…. I play of 12 strong point short game and putting….. not today putting gods were not on my side 😂 I am sure he kept moving the hole😅😅. Next round it will be fine .
My goal back to single figures was 9 now 12😢😢😢
Will be listening full length as soon as I have time tomorrow or Monday, but wanted to just keep repeating myself like a broken CD, lol, you are just one of the most positive people I have seen on the internet, even when you talk about subjects on the more negative side. I am almost sure you could do a podcast ranting about something and I would still come out and be like "How on earth did they manage to rant so much but still be so positive at the same time?". All of us rant about something from time to time. Some of us get more away with it than others without draining the energy around them – depending on body language and mindset. Your body language is almost always positive, even when you feel like you are playing horrible. Thats what I will take with me to the golf course this summer when I want to punch myself "How would CG do it? They would maybe rant a little, but they would not lose their positive energy while doing it, just keep going and have fun while the outdoor season lasts!!"
Keep the videos coming guys, easy listening when chilling out, I find It is just sad that negative comments are still around regarding ladies golf, especially as I am introducing my wife and daughter to the game, I have pulled a few guys up for it, I have found it is mostly from the older generation and not the younger / middle aged golfer. oh I did spot you in the town a few weeks ago when I was visiting family, was going to say hi but thought it was a bit weird especial when you had a bag of shopping 😂😂
Hi yesterday…kilmarnock barassie poor putting but the problem is you start to change things when it starts to go wrong. Always tomorrow 😂
Great insight to your past and also what the future plans are, genuine people genuine channel, keep up the good work, enjoy watching the video’s
Just catching up on this one, trolls will be trolls and there is nothing we can do about them, they are trolls because of issues with them, you both do great, what you see is who you are, no fakeness, golf is for enjoyment wether you plus handicap, 6 handicap or 26 handicap, we all work during week so the golf is a release to relax at weekend, we all would like to get lower, I still target 3 but at 55 I may not get there but I will enjoy the time on course, please ignore trolls, you are doing great
Sorry for my "essay". lol. I don't know how to write short haha.
Personally I got into golf, my mom says I was like 8-9 years old but somehow I feel like I was 11 or something. Golf wasn't really that big back in the day, it's around 2000, everybody played either football or handball (which is not a popular sport in the UK haha, but is very popular in the Nordic countries).
I didn't really find myself in a team sport so I went and tried out golf and kind of found myself. I played until I was 17 and after that it was just an occasional hobby sport every now and then without really putting my mind into practicing the sport. Which I think now is a mistake as I think to myself "Would I be scratch if I just kept going?" haha.
But I don't want to look too much into the rear mirror and regret it. I made some decisions that I wouldn't repeat if I got the chance but I can not take them back. Now I am back in golf, been actually practicing golf for 2 years now, gotten from 31HCP down to 19HCP in the first year and now down to 17HCP in the next, it was a bit disappointment I was unable to get further than that but the weather was NOT on my team that year, lol!! Even when struggling at 30HCP I felt like I was a bogey golfer like I was as a teen, so now I am at that level and now is my time to actually improve.
My goals.. I always say get to single figure HCP just to have some number to refer to but when I think about it, a specific number is kind of pointless, it's just a number so I can measure something. What happens after I get under 10? I will be better at golf and that's it. Do I just stop there?
I went through Sports Science in University without studying golf by itself, so now I am taking the TPI courses, and my aim is just to give this sport as much as I can and just see how far I can go. With the TPI course I want to use the body-swing connection to try to eliminate my physical limitations, which is mainly mobility for Toe Touch and Deep Squat at the moment, I want to become fitter and better. I will not stop if I get under 10 even though that's one measurable goal I have set.
Golf has given me so much for the past two years, my overall health is so much better, I am so thankful for that.
Great video. A world of respect for both of you. I look forward to your new content dropping. I'm getting back into golf after taking a 25 year break. Any tips on selecting a coach?
