As a Manchester United fan for 48 years, I have been a fan of David ever since he came to OT. At first, he struggled to how physical the Premier League was. This young lad was not given time or protected as Sir Alex would have done with all new talent that needs time to adjust to their new club. David was thrown into the deep end, and trust me, the Enlish press had him in their cross hair's. ( The English media are brutal. If they dislike your life, can be very hard. David even had "some Manchester united legends " already stating he is not of the pedigree required to be A Manchester united keeper. " The premier league is a whole new level,it's a beast, " ask Zlaton. " …..you don't get time,every game is physical, and that takes time to adjust and implement into your game To his credit, David went into the gym and never left. This is a keeper determined to succeed and fight for his place in the team. New season straight away, you could see how much his tine in the Gym had paid dividends. He looked physically bigger,faster & fitter. That season was the making of one of the best keepers not just for Manchester united but the world.
When Manchester United was struggling post fergie David was the difference. So many times, this man carried this team on his back. So many times I was in awe of the man and the keeper so when I seen he was leaving I was not just sad but disgusted. When I then heard we were spending 50 million on a new keeper and that this keeper likes to play from the back when Manchester United didn't have the player's to implement thus system. 50 million we needed to buy a striker. MANCHESTER UNITED HAD NOT GOT A DOWN AND OUT GOAL SCORER.
when I heard David was about to get Married and the situation Manchester United left this man in I was extremely saddened. This was not how Manchester United do business. Since David has left this team has cut money to charities and made 250 staff redundant . My grandfather was a Manchester united fan. So I inherited this honor. Over the years, Manchester United has gifted me so many unbelievable memories and braging rights. Nights of unbelievable heights I will never forget. When Sir Alex left, he asked that we fans get behind the manager and the club. In the last ten years, Manchester United has struggled to get back to the glory days, and that's OK. I have read and listened to Manchester united fans slate players making sick statements these fans have short memories they hail a player who scores the winning goal today and show no mercy if they fail to score a goal the very next day. "We have to take the rough with the smooth." We have to, except we are in transition are therefore, the new manager and system will take time. If we as a fan base can endure these day's whare every game is a hard game and there is no easy games no more with time and as fergie said "consistency " I have no doubt THE GLORY DAYS WILL RETURN TO Manchester united once again. I am really happy for David and wish him every success in the future. 🇮🇪👍

If they didn’t he would have wanted more money. In a time where united are looking to cut the wage bill. Facts and context go along way
De Gea doesn’t want to decrease the salary that’s why MU discarded him… after being unemployed for several months, he agreed to join Fiorentina with massive decrease of salary.
