I don't give 3 good sh*ts how much anyone makes from YT. What I do care about is QUALITY, UN-CENSORED videos on the subject I chose to view. The quality is what is lacking as too much rinse and repeat. Your channel does well in avoiding this.
I bought a rangefinder from another company, sent it back. Bought a Milessey and it's 10x the quality for only $6 more. A++
The video of the boy who bit a finger got a million £ for the family. Do more biting
Liking the distinction between golf education and golf entertainment…thinking you have chosen wisely…i watch and learn ftom you…thank you
YouTube owes you a raise, mate! You've been smashing it. Wishing you a great 2025.
I've defiantly learned a lot from this channel when it comes to looking for some good used clubs
Great video mate. Keep it up. Personally I watch less and less golf YouTube these days as I cannot commit to the ridiculous video length. Anything over 40 minutes I just turn off now
Keep up the good information Simon, always helpful and informative👍
Too much in some cases for the shite they put on here
Brilliant . Informative and honest like your reviews. Hope the ankle gets better soon
Really interesting video. I didn’t have a clue how revenue was made really or how much. I found this very informative and easy to understand, mainly because it was visual and that’s how my brain works. Great explanation and so honest of you to show all. So many folk are very secretive about money earned. Your honesty and openness is what attracts me to watch all your content. I understand more now why you tubers use click bait headlines now…but still find them incredibly annoying and a turn off these days. Keep up the good…much appreciated! Thanks.
Great video Simon, its awesome to see how open and honest you are here!
Viagra, hahahaha YouTube knows I'm watching.
On a more serious note I watch your videos because I normally buy ex demo or runout clubs, I enjoy the fact that you cover a variety of swing speeds.
I hope the ankle heals quickly.
Cheers from Australia.
Your content is great. I've recently unsubscribed from two channels I previously enjoyed because sponsorship was having too much influence for my enjoyment of the content. Good luck going forward.
Well done for not having the Viagra and gambling, I appreciate it and I'm sure many others do
Simon well done to date, a lot of people see content makers living on easy street. £150 for days works with £20,000 of tools is cheap.
A YouTube channel with being a professional coach skill set is a excellent way for one income to support the other. I had a Watersports shop & school so with classrooms. £40K stock, then coaching equipment £30K for a seasonal business Easter – Halloween , it simply was tuff going to break even.
The volume of world class coaches who had to stop because out goings could never match incomings.
I have not produced or record a video in 12 years and always found the volume of material footage needed for a 15 min video was massive. I was teaching a water sport at that stage 1995-2014. I made videos to assist my theory classroom coach so student could rewind lectures play key point for future exams.
Have my like Simon!
Great video Simon as a fellow PGA Professional and a very part time You Tuber your content and integrity is admirable.
Dropping a comment just to help the recovery mate. 🙏
Always like your content! 👏🏾
Great insight. Love your channel and good luck it’s a tough world out there and very challenging in the golf YouTube world with so many players. Keep going ….
interesting video as usual, speedy recovery.
Thats so much work for YouTube paying less than minimim wage for big ad revenue profits. Wtf.
Like your analogy of golf videos. I definitely watch a few entertaining ones, however thoroughly enjoy your educational efforts. Keep up the great content 👌🏻
Viewing habits is a really interesting point. I watch videos like yours on my PC during lunch breaks and so on. Yet I will deliberately sit down and watch a long form video (for example Bryson's Break 50) on the TV like I would watch an hour long tv show. In fact I enjoy this arguably more than just watching a golf tournament as I don't have the time to watch 4-5 hours.
Honest, open and always helpful. Keep it up, Simon…and you don’t need Viagra’s help on that score. Wish you were geographically closer though as I’d deffo take some lessons. 👍🏻
Such an interesting watch. Thanks for sharing!
This is now the only golf channel I watch. I used to overload on them and now can't be bothered with the long vlogs and Rick failing yet again to break 75… I see he is in Oz trying to do it there. Better watch where he treads the courses are covered in Roo crap (personal experience).
If all the videos on tips and instruction along with training aids worked we would all be +10 hcp. Ten to fifteen minutes is long enough to get the point across.
Pardon me for spouting off, but I would love to see some videos on (apologies if you already did any of these and I missed them):
Junk/Counterfit Grips (are they just as good? How do you tell them from the originals),
The tradeoffs between grip based on size (propensity to flip you hands, etc),
Softest vs firmest grips – what is available and what are the tradeoffs (don't know why I got on a run of grip questions… )
What years marked the end of old tech vs new tech – roughly (How old a set of clubs can be before sacrificing more modern components?)
Shaft tradeoffs – what to look for. Shafts for slow swings, etc. what are the variables?
Driver shaft length tradeoffs – how to tell when your shaft is too long or too short –
I could go on but I am not sure you are interested or if my ideas would be worth exploring…
I appreciate you going through this as I have had these questions for years. Maybe I'll start my own channel "Old guy plays golf with metal hips". And I might add that I've enough scars that I look like a survivor of a white shark attack!!!
Simon, thank you. No one else on YouTube approaches the game like you do. You are a breath of fresh air and honesty. That's why I am a long time subscriber and try to spread the word about your channel.
I like how you swing clubs at different speeds to demonstrate the performance for a wider range of golfers. Most reviewers just swing flat out, even with clubs/shafts designed for much slower swing speeds or poor mechanics.
