Great to hear you guys giving Jeff 1,000 the nod.
One of my favorite people I've ever known…and he is STILL with Penske.
Awesome Kenny. You should talk to my ex brother in-law. Dave Nowak. He is from Kirkwood. He started at Lake Hill.
Know mark from his years in Georgia
Great conversation! I really enjoyed this video and learning about Mad Dog! Looking forward to the next Kenny Conversation!
My brother Clif crewed for Mark every Friday night at Lavonia Ga the few years he ran pavement late models.. about 1989-91ish…. Mark was about unbeatable there and ran really well at Lanier as well, despite Mike or Debbie trying to total his car every Sat. Jerry at PRC was a good dude for the most part and we had an engine customer with a PRC cantilever suspension car that ruled sportsman with at Dixie, Rome and Senoia. When my dad stopped drag racing himself, he went dirt racing and his first late model was a Rayburn that we bought from Brad Sorenson. Good to hear him talk about all these folks. Of all the people, both good and bad, we raced with, helped and were lucky to have been able to learn from in our youth – Mark really stands out as a great one for good reasons – his work ethic and friendly demeanor. Thanks for the interview, Kenny.
At that track they would bark when they would announce his name. I still do it when I see the red trucks on the highway.
Really enjoyed the stories Mark drove late model at I/55 for me a few years 12 years ago or so
Never forget first night out might have been first night of season or close too Spent one night in shop putting some Mark touches to my old car Great night Rusty Schlenk was there he ran off from the field with Mark on his tail the two put on a show Schlenk won with Mark second The best finish we had ever enjoyed at I/55 I also had a Schrader smile that night Had lot of fun with Mark and his family
Hi Kenny
saw him run alot in southeast when he lived in georgia
Wow he is good he changed his shirt so fast during the interview. lol
We bought the lefthander late model from Ronnie Dobbins that Mark drove at Senoia in the 90s and ran it at Senoia, Lanier and Jefferson.
I grew up in crothersville home of masters bilt spent alot of time there as a kid got to meet alot of great drivers like mark
Mark Miner came out "unscathed" because he was always a solid guy. One of the best people that just happened to race.
“I can drive?” On my way. Wait, where are you and what am I driving?
