The Compression Clinic is the culmination of my 30-year obsession with gaining compression in the golf swing…

It’s everything I’ve learned as a player and coach, distilled down to 80 minutes of game-changing instruction that will have you hitting perfectly flush irons on your very next swing.

You don’t need to overhaul your swing or grind away for hours at the range…

With just a few, simple adjustments, I’ll show you how to turn weak, glancing blows into perfectly compressed missiles that explode off the clubface… flying 15 to 20 yards farther, straight at the pin.

And how to go from hitting fat shots, thin shots, tops, and even shanks…

To making crisp, clean contact, on your very next swing.

I’ve done all the hard work for you… condensing decades of experience so you can get the benefits of compression, without the years of struggle.

▶︎ ABOUT ZACH ALLEN ◀︎
Hi I’m Zach, thank you for visiting my channel. My goal here is to help you play the best golf of your life while having as much fun as possible!

I’m a PGA-certified golf instructor and have been coaching since 1997. I’ve been named a Golf Digest “Best Young Teacher,” a GolfTips Magazine “Top 25 Golf Instructor,” and Southern California PGA’s Teacher of the Year. I’ve worked with golfers of all ages and levels, from 4-year-old beginners on up through touring professionals. My students have included nationally-ranked juniors, touring pros, celebrities, and CEOs, but wherever you’re at on your golfing journey, my goal is always the same… to help YOU play your best golf!

I started playing competitive golf at a young age, ultimately reaching #3 in the California junior golf rankings – just behind another promising young golfer named Tiger Woods. I also played collegiate golf at the University of Southern California and professional golf on the Omega Asian Tour.

I work with students in-person at my studio in Valencia, CA, and teach golfers all around the world through my YouTube channel and on my website: ballstrikingblueprint.com. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a comment if you have any questions or would like to get in touch!

  1. great analogy. just when you think you've seen it all. very creative and intuitive. thanks for sharing.

  2. Everybody and their brother knows what we are supposed to do the problem is getting my brain to obey. I can't figure out how to convince myself that the face will be square if I wait till the last millisecond.

  3. The analogy that opened up the golf swing for me is that the shape of the golf club is like an atlatl, which is used to throw a spear. It should be called a “golf sling” not a swing.

  4. Hello, Zach. I have been watching your golf instruction videos for a while now. I enjoy your content, passion for and teaching skills in helping golfers improve in this difficult game. Not criticizing your philosophy, remedy or methodology, I am very interested to know your opinion and thoughts about a particular and overall golf instructional philosophy. Many prominent and respected golf instructors believe in the concept of swinging the golf club as simply swinging a weight on the end of a string. In doing so, they believe it eliminates any improper biomechanical movements or form in the golf swing – weight pressure-shift, tilt or turn of the hips-shoulders, arm-forearm-wrists motion, etc., etc. The concept implies that all body movement should perform and function accordingly if you can swing the golf club having this “feeling”, which I find awfully difficult if not obtainable to find or “feel” on the golf course. Your content and videos have mainly been emphasized on improving the movement of certain body parts and function. You and I also totally understand that when working on correcting specific body part form or movement, it invariably affects other biomechanics, whether you know it or not. Thus, trying to correct one specific body part movement may be at the golfer’s dismay and futility. I have never seen or viewed any of your videos with the concept of feeling and swinging the weight of the club head. Very interested to know if you do have instructional videos for the same. Thank you. “Fight On”.

  5. Thanks, I pull the handle through fine but I'm late closing the face or releasing at the right time and hit with face wide open ball goes right?

  6. I’m a right hander. For me, what begins to release the club is in the motion Hogan described in his film drill segment in Shell’s WWOG against Snead: how he keeps his “arm triangle” intact… moving the club (with his body) in a horizontal plane to the ground. Yet, when he makes the FULL swing, his forearms unfold (namely the right arm unfolds) bringing them back down in front of him. To me, this unfolding is intentional, and it is THIS motion blended with body rotation (super important that you keep turning!) that causes the unhinging of the hands, the club to arc properly, and the club face to square. My best advice is watch Hogan do that drill in the film, and try to copy it. The man knew what he was doing.

  7. Hi Zach – My hubby and I are single digit golfers (club champions actually 😅) and wanted to come from Dubai 😊 to Valencia for a couple of lessons or clinic with you week of 6 October; please let me know how to get in touch with you directly to organize this! Can’t wait to discover crazy compression. 🎉

  8. How do you square the clubface with that late release? look like slice central if I try this method.

  9. I appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication you've put into this video. However, I'm having trouble connecting the golf concept to the wrench demonstration, even though I've used that tool extensively. I'm hesitant to purchase the compression video because I'm unsure if I'll fully grasp the idea

  10. so compression is just de-lofting the club? Why not use a lower number club instead? ie, stop trying to hit a 9-iron 165 yards and just use a 7 iron instead.

  11. The monkey wrench is a bad analogy. To turn the nut counter-clockwise, flip the wrench around so its mouth faces AWAY from the target. Now as you turn it the teeth will bite down on the nut instead of opening. You also want to put the wrench leaning heavily forward (toward the target) so that you can push with the feet instead of pushing down with only your body weight helping.
