3:04:55 Thank you, guys, for bringing this topic up! I hoped you'd mention this as a basketball and hockey fan. I would compare if the Leafs traded Matthews for Hedman + Hagal to balance it out. Matthews is an MVP player but has many question marks compared to McDavid and MacKinnon. Similar to Luka, getting traded for an older but established championship player who is a defenceman who can also score in Hedman. Hagel would be the throw in on a budget contract to make more even to offset the 50 to 60 goals going away
Sticking with Utah Hockey Club, which was only meant to be temporary because they had no name, would be the laziest thing in the history of mankind.

100% agree about adjusting the time outs to lengthing the periods. In Utah the amount of people who aren't in their seats when the next period starts is alot because they are still in food lines. . And yes the timeouts take away from the energy of the game.
Frost and Farabee do well in Calgary hopefully. They certainly didn't fit into Tort's system, but Frost is very inconsistent and a liability defensively at times. Farabee has a handful of goals in his last 82 gp and hasn't been nearly the same player he was prior to his neck surgery. What the Flyers get is cap relief long term and a chance to sign a center for Michkov.
I believe the thing with the tariffs is Canada and Mexico have tariffs on the US and the US does not have tariffs on those countries, as well as the US paying the bill for many things those two countries enjoy but don’t participate in. Also both countries border security is hurting the US so it’s being used as a negotiating tactic. Suddenly everyone is an expert on it of course but that’s just my understanding. I’m loaded up on Pink Whitney though so I’m good!

Miller trade good for both sides. NYR get their guy and the best player in the trade.
Canucks get some players that inject speed and size upfront and used the first to get a much needed top4 d in Pettersson who has since been resigned to a bargain deal.
They also gain 3m+ in cap space, get out of Millers contract, and more than anything put an end to the toxic locker room drama.
Canucks are 6-1-1 in their last 8 and despite having Hughes out due to injury have won 3 straight while looking like a completely different team than that of the first half.
Seems like a good trade considering the scenario.
