EDEN Golf Club near Carlisle has completed the installation of new cutting-edge Trackman driving range technology.
The golf club, which is located near Crosby-on-Eden, announced on Saturday, February 1 that its new Trackman driving range is now fully operational following an installation process that took place in January.
The new driving range at Eden Golf Club now features ‘military grade’ radar technology, ball tracking, and course simulation and allows local golfers to play virtually on some of the most iconic golf courses in the world.
Will Tyson is the general manager at Eden Golf Club and explained how the new Trackman technology will innovate the local golfing experience.
He said: “Already a premier destination with its stunning 18-hole championship course and nine-hole Hadrians course, Eden Golf Club is taking the next step in innovation by transforming its driving range with Trackman Range.
“Golfers will now be able to track every shot with pinpoint accuracy, play interactive games, and transport themselves to world-famous courses like Pebble Beach and Bethpage Black, all from the comfort of their bay.
“For over 22 years, Trackman has been the trusted name in golf technology, used by over 80 per cent of the world’s top players.
“Using cutting-edge radar technology, Trackman delivers the most precise ball-tracking data, giving golfers an unparalleled understanding of their game.
“With this installation, Eden Golf Club becomes fully Trackman-enabled, offering cutting-edge technology across the driving range and coaching.
“Whether you’re a dedicated golfer looking to fine-tune your game or a beginner wanting to experience golf in a whole new way, Trackman Range has something for everyone.”
The installation of the new Trackman Range technology follows a productive end to 2024 for Eden Golf Club which has also seen them make changes to its Championship Course.
These changes included a full rebuild of the 17th hole’s green.
In addition, Eden Golf Club is inviting locals to experience its new lodge retreat which is nestled within its grounds.
Speaking previously, Will said: “Over the winter months we made changes to our Championship Course. Most notably the 17th green.
“A full rebuild of the green has seen a slight change of position, incorporating the green into the water hazard.
“The green has been lifted considerably allowing for better drainage and an opportunity to add a tiered structure creating an opportunity to provide testing pin positions.
“To finish off the new green, the edging into the water hazard has been completed with large rocks giving us a finish that compliments the natural beauty of our course.”
