FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — People are taking to social media to share outrage over Fargo Park District price increases for its pools and golf courses this upcoming season.

A 2025 season pool pass to all five pools is going up from $193 last year to $500 this year.

But you’ll find the biggest sticker shock on the 2025 season passes for Fargo’s golf courses.

A household season pass for all five courses has shot up from $508 last year to $1,800 this year.

One person commenting online that “they are making it so people cant afford to golf!”

During tonight’s Fargo Park Board meeting, only two people got up during the public comment period and both were against the idea to eliminate golf pros.

“They add great value to our golf courses and to our community. We need to do everything possible to make sure we keep them,” said John Nelson with Edgewood Men’s Club.

The park district is looking at hiring a new city golf manager.

As far as the pools, the new Island Park Pool is expected to be finished in time for the June 9 season opener.
