I feel like sometimes there is an optical illusion that happens that makes it look like the hands are moving away from the body/to the right but really the hands are coming in closer to the body on the downswing and the camera angle makes it look over the top.
This is much more of a neutral move than over the top. I don't quite understand why people think it is so mind-blowing that someone with an over the top move can play good golf. The difference between two degrees in to out and two degrees out to in is nominal. There's nothing revolutionary about having a relatively neutral swing direction and hitting the ball well.
If he was truly going OTT he would be hitting a huge slice. He is only going OTT from his backswing plane but still staying inside on the follow through.
He's OTT….from the inside. Among ams, I'd say 80-90% of really good players are slightly OTT, from the inside. Note that his alignment is somewhat to the right, approx. 10 yds or so. Allows for slight OTT from inside to hit a slight pull from a good path + slightly closed clubface

Pro? Um. Where?
Pros don't dangle their keys.
Truckers do!

The club comes in from the inside. Not OTT
I like the slow motion forward reverse forward edit which I find helpful for that particular movement. Makes it easier to see. Thanks.
Beautiful
He’s under plane in the back sweet(shallow) so him getting steeper is only bring the clubhead and shaft back on plane no ?
Making me reasess what I know lol….will be definitely trying it for my driver.
Irons im still reserved….I may have been using it inadvertently as I hit fades, and never want to miss left ,ex tour player that couldn't putt. lok

If you flatten the shaft enough you can be OTT all you want. -supposedly said by.Hogan.

it doesnt matter aslong as you can hit it well and have fun who cares if you come over the top 🙂
I like the Hogan right elbow down at all times. Keeps the swing on plane more consistently.
