But its mahomes! He is a tier above every other QB in the league ! He raises the level of all the players in the team ! He might loose every now and then a close game , but he is not supposed to be blown out of the water like he did ! Give me a break ! Is a TEAM sport !

As boring as a Super Bowl as there were in the eighties. Good news is: Chiefs were stomped. The Swifties are in the history books. The NFL love affair with the Chiefs is hopefully over. Good line play can win the big one, even if your QB has only a few solid tricks and is mostly average. The bad news is: the game has never looked worse. Just witness the halftime show. I’d rather see a good juggling act.
Chiefs stopped using Pacheco like he became some bum , they just totally abandoned the run before the game even started!

As a Packer fan I kept saying we needed to draft DeSean and I knew we wouldn’t Gute is such a shitty first round drafter. Then watch the Eagles draft Mitchell then DeSean fell to them I knew they were instant real SB contenders since their corners were a huge reason why they weren’t as solid last year. Still can’t believe we picked Jordan Morgan over DeSean… I’ll never like Gute for his first round picks. He only has Jaire and Love.
When you are touted as a "Dynasty" and put on a performance like they did in front of the whole nation, it's an absolute embarrassment. You don't get beat this bad while being declared a "GOAT". Everybody knows what the Chiefs are and who they are now. And they know exactly what to do to beat them.
The Chiefs very first drive, it was written all over Mahomes' expression and face. He knew they were cooked from that point on. Against the Bills in the AFCCG, he sat on the bench with that glare in his eye. Calm and cool. Against these Eagles he was nonstop pacing the sideline and jittery. That whole sideline knew they were in trouble the second the game began.

Colin read out the last two drafts of absolute studs by the Eagles and it just clicks how good this roster is. They can pay Jalen this much money because they draft and develop so well.

Pat was rattled within the refs not helping him. Everyone can stop the Brady comparison. Pat looked awful. Brady is far better than Pat. Humble pie for Pat. Philly got there with 4 and dropping 7. Give Hurts his flowers.

The Lions had 22 defensive players on IR this year. And still went 15-2 Imagine Philadelphia missing three or four players last night on their defence.
Interesting. QB’s and coaches and teams. Would Mahomes be as great with another system? Andy Reid struggled in Philly ultimately because he didn’t have the right QB for his system( plus he was pass happy). Who was better, Montana or Young in SF/ Walsh?
I’ll take Hurts over anyone in the NFL. ANY QB needs the Team around him for success as Patrick found out yesterday and against Tampa a few years back.
The Eagles operated a basic 4-man pressure strategy, never blitzing in the whole game–and still sacked Mahomes 6 times, such was their might!! I didn't see any pre-snap adjustments or hear any audibles by Mahomes. Brady, on the other hand would have changed plays pre-snap and stayed in the pocket longer. Mahomes got rattled and was squeezed in the pocket and as we know Mahomes is not a pocket QB. The Eagles covered Mahomes escapes by closing him down switfly and playing smart.
What if any other qb played the game mahomes did
Don’t forget…Eagles special teams played great too… Elliott didn’t miss a kick and kicked the ball out of the end zone most of the night.
Don’t ever put Mahomes in the goat category again. That's Brady and it's not even close.
What is the point of this analysis? Even the fan who's never watched knows that the eagles guys on defense were just better. There was no scheme Andy could come up with. Belt to a#$ all night long.

Did any body see how the Raiders beat the chiefs in KC on christmas in 2023?? Koonce had 3 sacks opposite Crosby and Jack Jones had a pick 6. Does that remind anybody of what happened yesterday?? Chiefs have always been finesse and susceptible to being overwhelmed by physical teams

The Eagles were very impressive in dethroning the king. They proved once again how difficult it is to three peat. Their performance reminded me of the dominance the NFC once had in winning 13 straight Super Bowls years ago. Congrats to them and the amazing Saquon Barkley. That guy is on his way to the HOF and deservedly so.
Bilachik was a much better coach than Andy Reid.
