The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (6-10, 3-7) will return home to play the University of Arkansas Monticello Boll Weevils (4-12, 1-9) on Thursday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM in the W.T. Watson Athletic Center and the Henderson State Reddies (11-5, 7-3) on Saturday, January 25th at 3:00 PM in the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.
Series History vs. Henderson State:
The Reddies currently hold a 54-63 overall record over the Muleriders. The first meeting between the two teams came on January 5th, 1965, a 76-59 win for the Muleriders. The most recent meeting between the two teams saw a three-point 76-79 loss for the Muleriders on December 19th, 2024.

The Muleriders will look to improve on their 4-3 home record during their four-game home stretch the next two weeks. The last home win for SAU came against Southeastern Oklahoma State in a dominant 80-62 win.
The Blue and Gold split last weeks road contests in Western Oklahoma winning their Thursday night game over Southwestern Oklahoma State by a final score of 68-62 then dropping their second contest of the trip to Northwestern Oklahoma State, 51-70. In their win over SWOSU, Carel Ray Jr. led the team in scoring with 16 points followed by Anthony Igiede with 12 and BJ Davis with 12. Despite the loss at NWOSU, Carel Ray Jr. recorded his seventh consecutive game scoring double-digit points (13).
BJ Davis remains the leading scorer for the Muleriders with 192 points and is averaging 12 points per game. Anthony Igiede follows closely behind Davis with 166 total points and averages 10.4 points per game. Christian Caldwell remains the teams leading rebounder with 86 total boards and averages 5.4 rebounds per game.
HSU at a Glance:
The Reddies come into Saturday’s matchup riding a two-game losing streak and are set to face-off against cross town rival Ouachita Baptist Thursday night. Despite their two road losses this weekend, the Reddies are 7-3 in GAC play and 11-5 overall. In their most recent game at Oklahoma Baptist, Nehikhare Igiehon led the team with 16 points. Rondae Hill also recorded a double-digit scoring performance with 13 points of his own.
Nehikhare Igiehon lead the team in scoring with 217 total points and averages 13.6 points per game. Matthew Mayes is second on the team in scoring with 197 total points and averages 12.3 points per game. Nehikhare Igiehon also leads the team in rebounds with 104 total rebounds and averages 6.5 rebounds per game.
