Good asset management by the Raptors using Indiana’s pick and players they got for Pascal to trade for Ingram.
The New Orleans team looks like a mess this year.

There's no point in the Raptors tanking. All it's young stars IQ, SB, RJ are all 23-25 years old. Poeltl is 29 and they aren't trading him since he's their only big and they just traded for him a couple years ago. Tanking to get a 19 year told doesn't make a ton of sense unless you plan on full resetting. Even with this trade if they don't make the playoffs they are still in the lottery and can probably grab a young big which they probably feel they can get with pick 7-10. They need to get good fast so trading for BI makes sense tbh if they can re-sign him.
I'm so glad pels finally got rid of BI! He's a great kid, just not a good decision maker in tight games. In fact horrible decision maker. Kelly will be instrumental. Pels have a solid team now. Zion, CJ, Dejonte Murry, Tre Murphy, Olynik. Bench team Herb Jones, Hawkins, Alverado, Misse, Boston,. 3rd team Daniel Tiesse, Robinson earl, Matkovic. Which are all big men. That's a tall team.
