Japan’s home favorite Rintaro Nakano finished the second round with a one-stroke lead at seven-under, one shot clear of Randy Bintang and Wenyi Ding.
The 20-year-old quickly extended his lead to two with a birdie at the third hole before the round was suspended for the day at 5:05 p.m. due to darkness.

The 15th edition of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship will be held October 3-6, 2024 at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba, Japan.
The Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship was created in February 2009 as a joint initiative to develop the game by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation, the Masters Tournament and The R&A. An invitation to play in the Masters Tournament and The Open is given to the winner, while both the runner(s)-up gain a place in Open Final Qualifying.
