BELFAST star Tom McKibbin has landed a pretty payout after his debut for LIV Golf.

The 22-year-old penned a multi-million dollar deal with the tour to join Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team.

Tom McKibbin landed a fortune after his LIV Gold debut under the lights in Saudi Arabia

It is believed that the deal was in excess of $5m just to sign with the rebel league.

The Northern Irish golfer won a PGA Tour card last season after claiming one of the ten dual cards up for grabs on the DP World Tour end-of-season order of merit.

But after joining the PIF-backed league, he forfeited that right to play on the world’s number one tour.

And he made a solid start to his LIV Golf career as the 2025 season got underway this week in the Saudi capital.

McKibbin ended his tournament on -10, seven shots behind Poland’s Adrian Meronk, who claimed his first individual win on the tour.

In doing so, McKibbin lands a whopping $292,500 for his efforts.

And that’s not all the money that cash that will be transferred into the young player’s account.

In the team competition, Rahm’s Legion XIII, along with Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt, dominated to win by 11 shots at 50 under.

This was the first event all four players scores counted for every round.

That means each of the Legion XIII players earned a $750,000 each, taking McKibbin’s weekly earnings to $1,000,024.

Individual Riyadh champion Meronk netted $4,000,000 for his maiden victory.
