wish they brought up the Tom Wilson – Artemi Panarin on-ice-episode a few years back, and the comments from the Rangers owner, and subsequent firing of both the GM & HC a few short days after they distanced themselves from the statement.
Brooks mentions Milbury. An epic A -Hole. Wrecked the Isles as GM. Made a complete ass of himself as a broadcaster.

Dear Mr. Bissonette, I happened to see the melee that you were in with so-called Irish Travelers. Coming to the aid of wait staff that you know was a very honourable action to take. You are in a small group of a dying breed that invites a group of 6 men outside if they are going to continue to behave badly. A very bold move. I couldn't help wondering where the rest of your friends, wait staff and other patrons were to back you up. Even as an older guy, a 67 year old former Canadian athlete, I couldn't,t have let you walk into that alone. 2 against 6 is a lot better than 1 obviously.

The bad squeaker that Lalime let in on Nieuwendyk was actually a few years later; game 7 of 2004 (such a stacked team the Leafs had; of all the great players McCabe listed, he didn’t even mention Ron Francis, which speaks to how deep they were). The only big highlight of his McCabe’s career that they didn’t touch on was him making Team Canada for the 2006 Turin Olympics (bad showing for Canada, but still, massive accomplishment, and what a group to be a part of)
