A gun battle erupted between police officers and cartel members near the US-Mexico border.

Gunfire broke out following the arrest of Ricardo ‘El Ricky’ Gonzalez, the second-in-command of the notorious Cartel del Noreste, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, on February 3.

Footage shows a group of suspects firing at officers while taking cover behind their cars.

They can be seen using rifles to target the police. Loud gunshots echoed throughout the Colonia Buena Vista and 150 Aniversario neighbourhoods.

Authorities confirmed that the arrest triggered intense gun battles across the city, prompting Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas to take action, assuring residents of their safety.

The mayor said: ‘Family, we have situations of risk in several areas of the city. Please do not leave your homes for the moment, stay sheltered, and take precautions to avoid incidents. I am coordinating with authorities and will keep you informed.’

The National Guard and other federal units were deployed as part of the operation.

One concerned resident expressed fear over the violence, saying: ‘It’s scary to see the streets filled with violence again, just when we thought things were getting safer.’

Police confirmed that no civilians or officers sustained serious injuries in the shootouts.

  1. You can stop the cartel from México, it's tru
But You want the drugs bring it from puerco rico , cuba , república dominicana, Jamaica Bahamas, etc etc
Because You don't arrest no body in USA,
Only gays in bicycle with some doses of drugs , not one had 1000, dollar with him,
So where are the Bigs fishes, in USA

  2. It is a show people. You really think these troops would in combat with the real cartels? The cartels have a strong influence in the Mexican government. In addition, the U.S. banks laundering cartels’ money and selling countless weapons to them. To stop the cartels, first the banks in the U.S. and other western countries need to stop laundering their money and stop selling them weapons.

  3. It's about time our country stands up and takes back the respect this land deserves. Apply for citizenship or visa if you want in on this country.

  4. It’s crazy the cartel will literally fight to keep being evil men. How dumb do you have to be to give up eternal happiness and love for 70 years of semi wealth on Earth, not to mention where there going 😂

  5. USA going into Mexico to help with cartels makes more sense than us being somehwere in the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe. It’s right here. Right next door. We are actually being invaded by narco culture and we worry about isis. Pffff I’m Mexican and hve had some bold family members live by these lifestyles. It’s insane we also worships them in pop culture. Ya some are actually decent people but most are not. And yes there’s a lot of places that seem less violent that just means they got a good cartel who can fight off outsiders vs the dangerous areas where the cartels treat the locals like cattle.

  6. Yes!! Our borders should have been secured a long time ago. Build the wall and use our military to secure it. "Good fences make good neighbors." Benjamin Franklin 😊🇺🇲🇺🇲

  7. Another man made disaster, from both sides.War is not the Answer and i don't know what is.But killing each other does not solve any thing just makes it worse.Just my opinion.

  8. Anyone who’s ever been involved with anything related to this knows this plans actually more asinine than the Afghan debacle. We’ll spend a several hundred billion. Nothing with change and then something will divert our attention. We’ll leave and business with resume. People get so mad when I say this. I don’t know why im not rooting for it. Just any critical thinker will tell you the demand in America is to great and nothing will change the flow in to the states.

  9. Thats been happening. Media just hasnt been there to film it the last 4 years. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

  10. FAFO 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 FAFO. 🔥 HELLFIRE 🔥

  11. At this point they ain’t even cartels anymore, there are terrorists 😐. They have access to military grade weaponry (Including explosives) and they are spreading terror and death. They are terrorists at this point.
