Brooks will win the U.S. Open at Bethpage again this year. The course is tailor made for him and suits his eye to a 'T'. He'll contend at the Masters, but Quail Hollow doesn't suit him and neither does Royal Portrush. The frustrating thing is his caddie, Ricky Elliott, is from the U.K. and should be a huge help to Brooks on links courses, but Brooks doesn't spend enough time playing links golf for him to be competitive in the Open Championship. LIV's schedule doesn't help with this either, as they play Valderama the week before the the Open Championship, which is a parkland course. I honestly don't understand why the don't play the LIV London event at Trump Turnberry, which would be the perfect tune-up for the Open Championship, when they play so many other tournaments at Trump courses. He needs to win a major outside of the PGA Championship and U.S. Open to truly be in a class amongst the greatest ever to ever play the game.
I like these players breakdown eps. Even if I don't like the players featured, they all have interesting stories and paths to how they got here. Sergio, Rahm or Hideki would also be a good feature
you didn't enjoy the Erin Hills U.S. Open, I don't accept that… and I'm a Brooks fan
Andy is the guy from Moneyball "i just don't know if we can still trust the bat speed".
