  1. I ready ordered the trial clubs of the PTx tour and the Icon. Can’t wait to try them and compare to my Callaway Ti Fusions. Completely different clubs but just want to compare the feel.

  2. I have the PTxPro, the more forgiving version of the clubs. They are about four years old now and are still fantastic irons.

  3. Great review. The only disappointment is that the pitching wedge is designated with a "P" and not an "E"! For those that are too young to remember, Hogan called the pitching wedge the great equalizer and therefore earlier Hogan irons had an "E" on the pitching wedge.

  4. I am dissatisfied with the after care support from Ben Hogan. Email bounces and no reply to online requests for help. Nice clubs but customer service is dreadful. Sad as clubs are lovely.

  5. This is the last set from Ben Hogan Golf with actual tech and engineering in them. Any Ben Hogan irons going forward will only be a "catalog" iron.

  6. Simply Beautiful. It would be interesting to go to Golf Clubs for Cash and get an older set of Ben Hogan Irons and compare. Feel, loft aesthetics.

  7. In the last year I bought a set of mizuno MP-57 and a set MP- 68, built a dream combo set, both sets are in great condition (5-PW) $350 USD total shipped,
from a Japanese Ebay site, this the way for me going forward.

  8. James they are great looking and sounding irons. I bought an old set of Hogans to have here in the Man Cave because of their namesake and their looks. Perhaps you can game them on the next 100??

  9. Simon Millington deserves major kudos for bringing back classic brands and seemingly doing it very well, and at great prices. Hogan, Ram, McGregor (U.S.).

  10. One of the things l love about your channel is the DTC brand testing. Could you please reach out to Sub 70? The Sub 70 TAIII v2 CB Irons is super interesting as long irons, and I would love to see the Sub 70 TAIII v2 MB Irons as a blended set. Come to think of it, I would love to see a series on blended sets, just where does it make sense to blend? I know it depends on the brand and series, but I would love to see some kind of video on that. Last year I was playing ancient irons, well everything and decided to treat myself to a new(er) set. I can honestly afford anything I wanted but I refuse to pay a fortune because I have not played that much in the last few years. (Life). I want to like Sub 70, but they seem to be getting swallowed up, not enough press (some others as well). I like underdogs, I really want to support those that are building something competitive but lesser known. If that makes sense.

  11. This makes me so happy. I’m a die hard Hogan player since the 1990s. My current irons and wedges are Hogans from this current DTC version of the brand, and they are as good as ever.

  12. James, it’s reviews like this one that completely debunk the concept of “you must get fitted for irons”!
You bought them on Facebook, got some base numbers on simulator, hit the course and for some shocking reason could hit pretty much any shot you wanted (except that draw on the last section of the video).
I’m attempting some sarcasm here but my experience tells me that the need for fitted equipments is quite overrated. Perhaps the driver is the only club where fitting can yield a material difference.

  13. They’ve just released 4 new iron sets this month too 🫣 I’ve played hogans for 2 years now and thinking about a new set, something a bit more forgiving, which they’ve definitely just released

  14. Great review James, I commented a few days ago about Hogan coming out with new irons and was happy to see you got these on here but these actually came out about 3 months ago I think but Hogan just came out with 4 brand new sets of irons and they are just as beautiful I ended up ordering the new Hogan Fort Worth MB's and can't wait to get them they look absolutely amazing I have played Hogan clubs for about 30 years now and it's great to see them continuing to come out with absolutely phenomenal irons I hope you game those for 2025 I don't think you are going to be disappointed…

  15. New level are the best get the 480s $700 and they're built in their tour Department with whatever shaft you want🎉

  16. I'm a lifelong Ben Hogan player and love my 2021 Icons in black. Very sharp irons – except for the "P" on the bottom of the Equalizer.
