If you’re serious about your putting game, you’ve probably heard of LAB Golf. Their putters promise revolutionary technology to help you make more putts with less effort. But when it comes to choosing between the OZ.1 and the DF3, which one is truly the best? In this video, we put these two LAB putters head-to-head to find out which one deserves a spot in your bag.
Both putters feature Lie Angle Balance (LAB) technology, designed to keep your stroke smooth and square without any unnecessary manipulation. But beyond that, they have some key differences. The OZ.1 offers a sleek, more compact look, giving traditionalists something to love while still benefiting from LAB’s signature performance. On the other hand, the DF3 brings a modern, high-MOI design that screams forgiveness, stability, and effortless consistency.
We’ll break down feel, alignment, forgiveness, and performance under pressure—the real tests that separate a good putter from a game-changer. While both putters have their strengths, we found that one of them provided a clear edge when it comes to holing more putts.
If you’re in the market for a LAB putter, don’t make a decision until you watch this! Will the sleek OZ.1 take the crown, or will the forgiving DF3 prove to be the ultimate putting weapon? Watch until the end for our verdict—and a few surprises along the way.

DF3 is much more stable and better. The OZ is much more blade-ish and less forgiving. Lag putting you need to practice and every green complex is different. Also DF3 feels better , perhaps the non insert OZ might feel ok too. DF3 is the better putter for the LAB Tech. Link1 and OZ1 are much less forgiving and tendencies to push and pull putts is more common. Also VLA is much better and consistent with DF3
Wondering if you know what the swing weight came out to be with the heavier head in the oz.1?
The ball looks way too far forward in your stance and your head is moving everywhere
Get it right, it's OZ 1i
