  1. The draw she had. The players she beat? It’s just out of this world!! Soooo happy she won! ❤

  2. Madison's success at AO2025 makes it more impressive that she defeated all the current top players in the world in a single tournament. Sometimes players win GS without even facing a top 10 player. So madys win at this tournament is very very special and rare success.

  3. I was darn happy to see Maddy win…and, though I LOVE Sabalenka's personality like no other player…that grunting is waaaaay over the top and should be addressed or penalized.

  4. I give Keys a lot of credit for beating both Swiatek and Sabalenka back-to-back. She really earned her title.

For reasons I can't really go into here on Youtube, I was actually rooting against Madison Keys and for Sabalenka. But it doesn't really matter because Keys will turn 30 years old in just a few weeks and I'm sure, like Sloane Stephens, Emma Radacanu and a few others, Keys will be a one and done in slam titles.

  5. Sloan Stephens won the 2017 US open against Madison Keys. I'm sure people are just excited for some Stevens then as other people in this comment section are for medicine keys now. What has launched Stevens done since 2017? She hasn't done anything. So many of these women will win one Grand Slam and disappear like Sloane Stephens, Emma right accounting not accounting and many more.

I was rooting for Sabalenka because why not? If Sabalenka had won, it wouldve been rooting more for greatness. I know Madison Keys will never win more than one major.

  6. A tidal wave of emotion for everyone who follows tennis and is familiar with Madi's history in the game, her innate talents, skills, her decency and kindness, etc., etc. I think it's fair to say, thousands and thousands of us wept with joy (and some relief) at that performance. Madi and her Coach of the Year husband are my new fav couple, lol. Two special people.

  7. Add me to the list of folks uplifted and emotional on this one! What a fantastic match (and this from a Sabalenka fan as well). The entire story for Maddy is, as you said, what sports gets so right. The previous failures overcome. A murder's row of a draw. An aging competitor that has done it all the right way. And then TRIUMPH in a quality, hard fought contest. What a match. Seriously glowing on this one. Also, from a broader tennis perspective, I hope this story has legs into pop culture and transcends a bit into non-tennis fan awareness. It certainly deserves to. And for what it's worth, Andy thank you for doing your part in that regard as well. I feel like the quick, witty, accessible comments in these vids is digestable by even those that aren't tennis nerds, and tennis needs that dearly. Appreciate!

  8. I called it from the first match. I thought she had something else in her game. Some confidence and trust to her shots that I haven’t seen before in her in the past. So good. Her play was beautiful, even when we could noticed her nerves she was just lovely to watch to play with those nerves.

  9. "…do you remember that tournament, when I was the most clutch person on the planet?!" – true dat!! 😅😅🌡🌡🎉🎉✨✨

  10. Let’s not forget, she saves a match point against Iga.
I feel like the narrative was about to be the old story, she does really well, but just missed. Not this time!

  11. Andy – great analysis. I am soooooooo happy for Maddy. I’ve been watching her for years, hoping she would control her raw power a little to keep the ball between the lines just one time. She did it! She earned it! Big congrats to her. I see more in her future.

  12. Totally agree… I live in Japan 🇯🇵 and was born in Brasil and just screamed when Madison won… and said to my husband “this is a lady that I think nobody can say I don’t like”… it’s our ideal champion “ideal”… ♥️

  13. I love how you celebrate other people's wins!! I cried, I was so happy and proud of her!! Her draw was insane!! I keep watching her match over and over again, it was truly a treat! I've never been more happy for a grand slam winner! Maybe when Serena reached 23 and Nole reached 24.

  14. She has always been humble when she won and gracious when she lost. An absolutely wonderful human being.
The women final was exponentially better than the men's.

  15. I believed it was Madi's time. I never stopped believing she could do. What to say Madi doesn't give us one last great act before she retires. Whenever that is. The body and her health are two biggest factors that will determine how much longer she plays. Here's a stat for you. Madi won 92 points in the match. Ayrna 91.

  16. It's a nightmare of a draw, agree but it somewhat still sounded like an understatement.

  17. I thought her demons and vulnerability was her best in this match. Her trust in her sensitivity. Because mental toughness helps but it can cause you to slack. You don’t hit your serves harder or try those slices like Andy mentioned. I don’t know how she recovered from previous 3 set matches to win this. Her coaches need to be thanked as well as her trainer.

  18. I think acknowledging one's inner demons but not letting them control you frees you up to play on your terms. It's not a problem to solve; it's a dilemma to continually manage. I feel Madison Keys managed those demons exceptionally well during the 2025 AO and played the fearless tennis that she always wanted to play in the moments that mattered most. It was a joy to watch… stressful for us fans but with a joyous conclusion. 😊

  19. I keep commenting that I hope you take the profanity out of your show. You have valuable information for young tennis players but unfortunately you show your low emotional IQ with the unnecessary profanity. You came so close but failed at 17:49 into the show. Sad to say the least. I’m sure you don’t use profanity around your children. Stop using it around the children who listen to your show. When the profanity stops I’ll promote your show to my juniors I coach.
