  1. Honestly I see Bontempelli resigning with the Dogs, think there's almost 0 % chance he leaves, that being said He has always said he'd love to play with James Sicily in his team and I do be seeing Him sat with Sam Mitchell in Rococo Glenferrie Road with papers and pens out on table about to order a 40$ bowl of Spaghetti. 🍝

  2. I really missed you guys! You have great chemistry, and I find myself laughing along with both of you as if I’m at the pub. I love the fun and frank assessments of AFL players and the game. As a mad Lions supporter, I think an interview with Fagan would be radio gold.

Good luck with the two mornings! I hope you can keep the "Woody in the Morning" sponsored quiz as early as possible. The fun and banter with the quiz contestants is truly the funniest segment on the radio.

    Best wishes for 2025.

  3. The AFL has been so scared of the NRL having that one week head start for so long and it has made no difference to the AFL bottom line. The kast three years have seen record attendances and membership numbers for many clubs. The AFL is jumping at shadows just like they did in the mid eighties when NBA was suoer popular. AFL administrators had meer ng after meeting about hiw to kill basketball and ots popularity rsther than "How do we grow and improve our game?" The AFL is a reactionary beast and organisations which react and act on impulse as weve seen with the edicts to umpures over the kast few years etc, has made the gake harder to watch yet the fans are more and more engaged with the product hecause of the eveness of the comoetition. A team can.lose thenfirst five games of a season and make a semi final if they go on a tear ala Hawthorn season 2024. Brisbane did the same thing and so did Sydney a few years back. The depth of talent on player lists can he tested at either end of the field but with the quality of young, big-bodied mids we, as the viewing public, are just spoiled for talent. The AFL just needs to cool its jets and realise that it has a good product and stop stuffing with it. Leave the rules alone for a few years. Get that fourth umpire off the field. If you're anything like me you went back and watched a few games during the off season. The number of times umpires were standing directly where players on half back wanted to centre the ball was immense. The AFL was forcing teams to kock long down the wing by blocking possible receivers in the cwntre corridor. Go back and watch a few random games and just see how prevalent this was. Why? Because the AFL wants a lower impact, faster end to end game like basketball. This is why 'incorrect disposal' has nearly vanished in the normal flow of play. Blome gets tackled doesnt get a boot or hamd to the pill, "Play on!" Calls the ump. And this is what is killing our game because fans, we who oay our hard earned for or memverships each year and turn up at games, we want consistency of rulings. With three umos it was 30% thinking one way, 30% thinkng and seeing the game another way and 40%< the central umpire seeing the midfield in the main amd the vibe of the game came from the first qtr if decisions in the modfield. Right, we can all agree upon that. Now..add another umpire. Now the average amount of howlers, bad decisions that were called by an umpire 70 metres from the play, goes up. We can't argue with the decision or throw a flag like in NFL. But if the fourth Umpire stsyed on the boundary fir just tyat tyoe of this ng. To check decisions, say two a qtr….the results would be better. Umpires wouldnt want their decisions to be challenged so they'd be more focused on making the right calls rather than calling "play on" every time a pkayer in possession of the ball drops it when tackled. Some say it'll slow the game. Yep, a little bit but it'll get rid of the howlers like Tom Hawkins out on the full paid as a behind in the GF all those years ago. And, having a major sponsor of the AFL being a gambling company had got to be changed. It's just plain wrong and keaves the code open to fixing. Missed goals, centre clearances, giving away frees I50…lots of easily manufactured outcomes.
The AFL needs to clean up its act or the big clubs Hawthorn, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, Sydney, Richmond, Brisbane, WCE, Adelaide should form an Aussie Rules Super League and let the AFL die a well deserved death.

  4. David King you are a dolt! How quickly you forget the move of the best pkayer in the comp after just winning a premiership at Hawthron to go to Sydney at the end of 2013!! Buddy moving to Sydney was massive and the Swans crowds and the hype, their membership numbers went skyricketing and attention around their team went through the roof. I could say G Ablett but no one gave a tinkers cuss in QLD over a truly great midfielder moving there for $6million of the AFLs money.

  5. Shocking take Kingy, there’s a lot of things wrong with the afl but the finals format isn’t one of them, stands head and shoulders above any other league

  6. Yep. Another year. And Kingy still hates the hawks, so obvious 🙄
If Nick Watson played for any other VIC club. Kingy would be drooling about him.

  7. Kane looks human again after "descrufferizing" himself. 🙂 It's good when Kane & Kingy's faces are not covered up by monitors & microphone bits. Ted Whitten was the greatest Dogs player of all time. His record speaks for itself. One of the greatest high marks ever, and very powerful athlete.

  8. I wonder how many non Victorian clubs Kingy has been to in order to give an informed, unbiased view?
My feeling is none which just means he is just another less than fully informed talking head.

  9. Does king realize when it was 1 v 8, 2v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5
The 2 highest winners progressed to prelim and 2 Highest losers got the double chance

  10. As a Swans fan, I would happily see Chad Warner leave if we could get Bont. I didn't even know Bont was going to be a free agent because of all this Chad Warner trade talk.

  11. Kingy not factoring in that the 8th seed isn't always the 8th best team, plenty of times we're teams get hurt earlier in the year and end strong just to make the 8.

  12. Luke Beveridge is the only good thing at the Bulldogs. While there is a Liberatore at the dogs I will always hate them.

  13. I love how we won the flag from 5th after so many top 4 finishes in previous seasons ❤🦁

  14. Ugal hagen has been linked to hawks for 2 years! After dogs lost to hawks final he was laughing and hugging hawks players when not 1 other dog did it! Why only sign a 2 year contract! Hawks have told him stay 2 years then we get you as free agent! It may happen earlier if hawks can afford with draft picks! Hagen wants out! He will be a hawk!

  15. Kingy, the only reason Patracca is still at Melbourne was cause the big clubs couldn't afford him. He didn't sacrifice himself to show Melbourne's shortcomings. Everybody already knew about them, including Melbourne. .

  16. The best is a top 6, because the even level of the competition between 1st and 12th is closing fast and you can't have a final 12. The top 8 didn't come in until 1994 and a top 6 gives the quality of finals, but the AFL cares about revenue above all else ( especially after the Gillan McLachlan era)
