  1. Tiger said himself that when he's playing his best he's picking the ball. Yes everyone wants a divot, means you're compressing. But again Tiger did say that. But it's funny how you criticized the pros on their takeaway in the one segment. Get your card and take it to the tour
    Let's see how you do.

  2. How do you guys deal with other golfers saying you're doing it wrong if you come OTT? 🙂 My pops has been teaching me to golf and he's got the typical modern swing mentality, which has been difficult to learn.
I've tried the OTT swing a handful of times, and it has just been working, but you get so many comments that it's wrong!

  3. Truly impressive. I wonder if you ever heard of Count Yogi? If you look at his swing was he OTT? He was advocating to take it inside but to not take a divot and play up on ball, can this be incorporated with OTT?

  4. Just been watching some old footage of Sam Snead, he definitely takes it inside, and looks like he comes slightly over the top on the downswing.

  5. christo, even though we have snow on the ground i went out in my yard and hit some chips and pitches with only the thought of getting my buttons more forward like you said and i got instant solid ball strikes. i've always kinda stayed back too much and i felt the difference right away. thnx for the info, 'it's a golf miracle'.

  6. Christo, so I watch a lot of guys who say their swing is the best. guys like rotary swing, milo lines, Steve Pratt, world class golf, I am ready to commit!! why should it be you? I know you did a video with Steve Pratt , is your technique better.?.. I need to know I am ready !!! I like everyone its so hard to pick lol

  7. You’ve gotta do more course vlogs so we can see the swing work!

Also, when I try the miracle swing, I often pull the ball too much. What feel fixes this?

  8. Christo, I live in Sydney. Any chance we could find a way for me to have lessons with you?

  9. I think the real miracle was finding a scratch golfer, with a low round of 64, that would be willing to abandon what has worked for him in the past, to try something new. He must also have an A+ short game and be a good putter.

  10. This is VERY counter to what is being taught elsewhere! Well, nothing else has worked for me. I'll give it a try. This reminds me of how Cory Pavin swings. But IMO, good golfers aren't necessarily good swingers. They are great athletes. That wasn't the case years ago, but it is now.

  11. I love your instruction and meterial . I noticed you instructed him not to get his weight in front of his angle, this sonds like the key. When I shift my weight forward I think i am shifting to far and I should be rotating and not shift so far forward. I not sure about the wip or the snap.

  12. Great video, one thing that will bring it together for me is to understand were the hands and butt of the club is traveling. I cannot tell from the camera angle and speed of the video. It would be great if I could see it in slow motion, not to force the position rather to train them in the path. I have been an early releaser of the club for years and know that my hand is a big contributor, when I practice at a very slow speed and get the handle ahead of the ball it releases correctly – ahead of the ball. But it is hard to get there with the so called ‘traditional’ take away of the club. When I tried your method without a ball it does eliminate the rerouting problem. Thanks for your response!

  13. Bromance! The hugs were more solid than the shots…lol. All seriousness, tho, 100% agree w the club "outside" takeaway being WAY more difficult to play good golf with for most. I went from a +1 to a 12 trying to "fix" my takeaway…didn't break 80 for over a year and a half n almost quit playing. Said F it three months ago n went back to my natural "inside" move, and I haven't shot over 80 since. Golf is dumb 😂🤷‍♂️

  14. I just put it to use at the course for the first time.

The ball flight was insane. Hopefully I can get over to you this summer to iron out the wrinckles!

  15. I have the course and have stidied it closely. I am a pretty literal person so I tend to over do everything when I look at the shift in the course it appears more pronounced than when I look at your swing or others you are teaching I think i might be over doing the shift.I think I need more rotation.

  16. can the shift be intimated by the rotation in unison? It seems to me that the shift can be a by-product of imitating the rotation I have been doing it vice versa what do you think. Is it possible too big a shift could be stallingout my rotation.?

  17. Hi I have been watching your videos for over 10 years and started trying to do the over the top move for a month. I was at the range flushing my irons but not going very high almost like I was playing a low bullet under the wind could not get any height same with the driver. Any thoughts, thanks Rich..

  18. It’s cupping your wrist ok with this swing? Cause he looks like he cups pretty hard. I do as well and been fighting it. Is it okay to cup?

  19. Thanks so much Christo. This video in particular, and your OTT swing system overall, has me excited about golf again. I'm a 63 year-old 8-handicapper, but really struggled this season with inconsistent ball striking compounded with back issues. Like this gentleman, I too am a "picker" of the ball, lacking consistent compression and a reliable ball flight.
Watched this video the other day and a light bulb turned on immediately. Everything about the OTT swing just instantly made sense to me.
It's snowy and cold here in the northeast (I'm a skier as well, so hooray!) but I have an indoor practice net and have spent the last couple of days incorporating your swing method into my practice sessions. I can already feel a huge difference in both compression and ease of getting "through" the ball, with no discomfort! Going to a first class indoor practice facility this week to give it a real test drive…can't wait. Thanks again.
