Not a secret drill! Many players including Rory do it and I'm sure they did it before tiger.. I've done it for at least 10 years and I've never seen tiger do it on the range..
Am I opinion Butch is the greatest golf coach I have ever seen following his tips took me from a 13 handicap to a scratch in less than a year. He took Tiger Woods so all those majors yes yes I get it. Tiger had a bunch of talent, but Butch help mold him
The way you cut the it’s as if you are trying to make a point. The context this video is missing is an explanation of the swing flaws in Tigers early professional career. With Butch Tiger was working on sequencing. He would get out in front with his hips and get under the plane. Most amateur golfers have the opposite problem.
Yes. But. If you have come over the top forever, fixing that will feel exactly like letting the club lay down behind you when it is actually right on plane.

But dont most.pro's have some level of lag, thus not a straight left arm at impact?
Whats unique here, it's contrary to the popular rather extreme laying off of the club (behind you).
So what! Just learn how to make clean contact and play the game.
There’s a huge difference between letting the club lay down behind you aka stuck & shallowing the club properly the way Tiger did/does.
The feel is all in the trail hand.
And if you swing left arm only you will feel what is needed from your body to produce power and speed ⛳
That drill and practising 15 hours a day.
Plus, make sure you take your HGH shots!!!
I was a 15 handicapper before seeing this video. After incorporating it into my swing, I won four PGA tour events.
That's not tiger woods
For my 40th birthday, I treated myself to a trip to Las Vegas and took a one hour lesson with Butch Harmon.
So don’t shallow?
You'll also feel the face completely open and piss the ball off to the right

Golf too much money and time.

However most pros these day keep their right elbow bent and tucked into their rib cage and extend it through contact not before ?
Butch puts the shallow the club to rest
Why not just keep yr arm straight & stop worrying about the down swing position? 😱
The right arm straightens out after impact.
Looks like he’s casting to me 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
