Start with your right arm in the correct position and you will feel like cheating in your golf swing. In this golf video Danny Maude shows by getting the right arm in the correct starting position with driver and irons the golf swing just feels easy.

When you get the right arm in the correct position it helps you get a perfect backswing. In fact once you have locked the right arm in place Danny shows you exactly how to move the right arm perfectly with his signature dumbbell move.

But the golf lesson wouldn’t be complete without knowing how to move it in the downswing. Danny Maude has you covered. There is no room for loads of complicated swing thoughts in the golf swing so you need something super simple.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. Thank you Daniel. The ten o'clock adjustment (okay, maybe about 10:15,) has done it for me. I also make certain that I do not align to the left. I'm pounding that baby straight, favoring slightly right; maybe one day I will get a draw working! Next, how about something for correcting pulling my irons, please.

  2. Great video, thanks Danny. Quick question, 4:16 you have your trail foot slightly further back. This is to further promote a an inside-out path yeah? How far back should the trail foot be as a rule of thumb? Cheers, Jamie.

  3. G’day Danny! Nobody leaves a lesson with a slice or hook? Sounds like I need to start playing again and book a lesson with you to provide you a challenge! 😛

Algorithm please note my comment and send more viewers Danny’s way!

  4. Great advice, but my issue is my right elbow gets too far behind me on the backswing, even with proper lower body turn, and doesn’t get back in front, tipping the club too vertical. Any advice on how to return it back in front? Keeping the elbows closer together with a trading aid works temporarily, but then I revert back

  5. Will be adding this to another oldie…that of taking my club bag, placing it in front of the tee, and checking to see just how the shaft aligns when I am swinging…great work as usual, and an early Valentines Day gift for the other half…LOL

  6. I saw your second last video with the other pro, discussing this. Tried it and the results were pretty instant. Insanely good and so simple!!

  7. Danny, thank you for another great lesson in how to improve my swing to hit straighter, longer shots. I watch your instructive videos every week and have learned so much that has helped me improve from a "golfer" no one cared to have in his foursome to a guy who is regularly invited to play. There is always room for improvement so please keep producing your fantastic videos. Thank you.

  8. Are your feet always staying lined up with the target, or do you reposition them to line up with your shoulders/forearms (after you do the close the face, square it back up with the forearms technique)?

Also, does this technique work with irons?

  9. Hi Danny. What I do in back swing is feel my weight go into my trail heel
Does this accomplish the same as pointing your back pocket to target?

  10. Can you please sign me up for video lessons??? I cannot hit my irons to save my life. I need help… Please

  11. I believe that the hip "turn" during the backswing is the most overlooked fundamental in golf. Too much is made of "keep the head still" which is probably the most often repeated bad advice. I use an image (not suitable for family time) that my hips move around the stable center of my buttocks on an axis ( or is that axle). The trail hip goes back and even slightly forward. No need to excuse the view. What you showed is probably the #1 flaw in many amateurs swing.

  12. I’ve straightened up my drive, but a sky ball has crept in. I know what causes it but, it’s hitting down on the ball, but I don’t feel I’m doing that. There doesn’t seem to be much difference in my swing from a 250 yd carry to a skied ball… I think it might be because I’m moving my chest forward, but don’t you need to do this to achieve weight transfer? Because you start with your chest so far behind the ball with driver.

  13. Hi, Danny.

Thank you for another great video. I've moved from a slice to a draw, to a hook, and back to a draw. Now what I'd like to know is how to hit a fade without getting back to slice territory. It feels like a slippery slope, but there are holes where a draw just will not work.

I would appreciate some feedback on that. Thank you for taking the time and the expense of producing these videos. Your clear instruction has been most helpful.

    Greg.

  14. Danny – I honestly think you are best coach I have come across. I play off 2 and still come back to your lessons on basics and fundamentals to un pick my swing when I'm not playing well. You keep it super simple and explain it so clearly. Top work!
