In the second round of the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Scottie Scheffler hits his tee shot wide left onto the beach at the par-5 18th hole. Scheffler would play his second shot from the sand back into the fairway before going on to save his par.

Scottie Scheffler, looking for a strong start to 2025, is aiming to claim his first win at Pebble Beach. Jordan Spieth, a past winner in 2017 and a consistent contender, returns with hopes of adding another trophy to his collection. Wyndham Clark, the reigning champion, is also in the mix after a top 20 finish at The Sentry earlier this month. Rory McIlroy, after having a great finish to his season in 2024, will be looking to continue his form into 2025. Other popular contenders include Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg and The Sentry 2025 winner Hideki Matsuyama, who are all ready for a strong showing. With breathtaking views and star-studded competition, from the likes of Larry Fitzgerald, Jr., Pau Gasol, Mia Hamm, and Steve Young, the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am promises to be an unforgettable event.

  1. Why dont Pro’s hit provisionals? Always seem so reluctant. Hit a provisional then walk up….rather than potentially having to walk all the way back to tee

  2. So how does this work….Rory hits a drive over cart path in the rough…..his stance would be angled down toward ball and ball in slight hole…..get a ruling….able to move ball back a few feet and ends up wil level ground for stance…..so why is a golfer awarded that for making a bad shot…..

  3. What a terrible rule no provisional allowed just another example of encouraging slow play if he has to go back to the tee

  4. If he got a decent enough lie on the beach area, making par is not such a task for someone of Scheffler's ability.

Seen a number of players end up down there, or on the beach on the 9th and 10th at Pebble and end up making a par.

Not like Scottie was doing something never done before.

  5. Pga should allow a provisional to speed up play. If he had to walk back because unplayable, you add another 15 min to everyone's round

  6. After the escape he safely puts the ball on the green which for a mortal like me is starring now at the 3 putt, but he is the finest lag putter out there. Number One for good reason.

  7. The not being allowed to play the provisional is ridiculous. Complete disregard for viewership and pace of play.

  8. What's so great about?
he was able to move stones and pebbles around it. He had a clear shot, probably a 60° wedge, if not a 58° piece of cake.
