  1. Hammer Curls is one of the most safest compound movement you can do. It’s not the best bicep exercise but it still gives you enough while working your forearms. I say this because I saw the results.

  2. Hammer curls and their variations are essential to building back pressure in armwrestling (basically your ability to drive your hand back towards yourself).

  3. The late John Meadows would disagree and he had arms and physique that Mike would ever dream of. Waste of time is doing everything super slow and with baby weights.

  4. Sure Mike, while not on the level of standard curls, Hammers are an excellent alternative if avoiding elbow pain tears and injuries, and also give an awesome pump/finish to an arm session.

  5. I would agree. An overrated thing I notice a lot of bodybuilders do is over emphasize isolations when they should be doing more compounds

  6. Uh I believe you're wrong their bub. Hammer curls work n work well. But we all have our own work out program and studying different peoples ideas is all part of it. Do you n I'll do me.

  7. Heavy strict hammer curls significantly increased the size and strength of my arms. They are awesome for mass and strength. Also for armwrestling

  8. The brachiallis doesn’t work on supination or pronation. That’s the biceps. So that wouldn’t matter idk why you brought it up?

  9. What’s getting missed here, is the prioritization of bicep work. Yes, hammer curls don’t help the peak directly. It’s my understanding the bicep will get pushed up(similar to pushing your biceps up with your thumb). Part of body building is understanding visual payoffs.

  10. No hate to mike but a lot of stuff he calls “a waste of time” and says “x exercise targets it anyway” doesn’t work for us natties.

You gotta hit it directly as a natural or it doesn’t grow.

  11. This video is one that is junk. I focus on taking my back to failure when I hit back, not my arms. Hammer curls are in no way a waste of time, and these muscles definitely benefit from being hit..
