When to use your 52 56 60 degree wedge set?
They have similar uses but in different areas of the course usually determined by the distance of the shot or the lie of the golf ball.

what is 52 degree wedge used for? Pitch shots, chip shots, bunker shots, full shots.

  1. @GolfSidekick Have you thought about going on Cameo? I think you'd be perfect for it. I'd definitely get you to roast a couple of my mates!!

  2. @GolfSidekick I have been looking into a few videos on grip pressure. How firmly would you say you are holding the grip?

I am seeing a lot on holding it more tightly then has been traditionally taught (holding bird), and that pros have much stronger grip strength so a 2 for them is a 6-8 for a average golfer.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks.

  3. Did you just turn my individually contrary misbehaving wedges into a crack team of green assault weapons? . I think the answer is a big affirmative ❤

  4. It's official: I love putting. Putting topspin on the ball, keeping the face square like Moe Norman, using the correct amount of acceleration, I love it all

  5. This channel is the only reason I was able to shave off 30 strokes last year, my second year of golfing. Went from a 126 to a 96 best round. This year my goal is an 89

  6. I have those wedges on the side but I have currently in my bag a chipping wedge and a sand a pitching wedge. Would you recommend I put the other wedges in tier place

  7. You start a hole by using less loft to go further, but at a certain point near the green it reverses. The beautiful symmetry of life.

  8. I've used Kirkland wedges for two years now and they have already worn down pretty quickly. They are great value, but I feel like the lie angle is a little odd. In your biased opinion, how much better will my wedge game be if I ever cave and risk ordering Takomos?

  9. I used to use 52,56 and 60 round the green, now i use 58 only for everything and much better results as it's all i do so i get better and better, chip ins not unusual

  10. You’d get thrown in jail for offending their religion, but then threatening a police officer, ‘nothing to see here, just innocent baby Aladdin’s’

  11. I have a pitch approach and lob idk the degree but I know my pitch gets me to 110-120 my approach is at 90-100 and my lob is 60-75….i use the lob around the green to pitch and chip

  12. aanother awesome video, Thanks to you Matt, in the past 2 yrs l have gone from a 20 to a 10 getting back into the game. Best lesson from you was adding 1 stroke to par. that was awesome halped me so much i am a firm believer that if your not a low handicap golfer dont have a 60, it is one of the hardest clubs to hit and l have seen so many rounds messed up by people using one. carrry a chipper instead you will get more use out of it. been playing for over 50 yrs. l play to a 10 thanks to your vids and have taken trouble clubs out of the bag. only carry 10 clubs 5 and 7 wood, 6-sw, chipper and putter. thanks for all

  13. I have a pitching wedge and a 56. Would i use a gap wedge more or a 60 degree? (just started playing)

  14. Novice question, my clubs dont show loft degree. Please can you give me the degrees for these clubs. S,P,A,9.

  15. Use a 58° and nothing else that's how you enjoy your game, you will learn one thoroughly, then and only then can you decide what you want to do next.

  16. The best golf advice ever: 9 thru lob wedge are scoring clubs, learn yardages for 80% to 50% swings and try to score vs make a swing. I feel dialed in at 60 to 80 yards with LW and from 110 yards i can get to 20 feet fairly regularly and occasionally 10 feet. I can't expect much better than that but I am trying (sim) to get as best as i can.

  17. Make a 56 a 60 by slight club face open and forward in stance. Make it 54 degree by playing back in stance and slight forward shaft lean.

  18. Would love to be playing in those conditions. Unfortunately, I live in the north west of Ireland where 90% for the time I am fighting the wind. Very informative video

  19. Nope I almost never hit a 60 from the fairway, and definitely not a full shot, yuk. I like to hit 3/4 56 from the fairway and I always use 60 from the green side sand.
