  1. 2025 fixing to be a huuuuuuggeee year for the program! If you get the chance hope you can get out and test all the bows you're interested in for yourself. But I am stoked on the bow I picked (no spoilers) and ready to get it dialed in. Have a great day and remember to get out and shoot your bow ✊

  2. Boy you can tell darton pads some pockets, elite has had set technology for years AND 1/4" draw adj. For years, AND darton copied the elite grip down to a T… but yet darton the sketchy co. Gets the props…

  3. About damn time the sequel got the respect it deserves. Probably won’t be the best kept secret anymore tho. Good choice!

  4. I have the opposite experience Tim, of all the mainline bow companies Hoyt just feels like the worst in my hands and I just don't like them or how they shoot/feel. For me Mathews just fits my hands and feels most comfortable. I still love my V3X 33 but I wish I could drop the coin on a Lift X cause I love how that bow shoots and feels to me.

  5. Always enjoy Tim's videos. They always feel like a legit take on products no need to sell the popular product on the street!

  6. I’m so happy Tim had that little bit of string creep when he short the Mathew’s on the second round. Happened to me like 5 times somehow keep forgetting to push and pull. My Hoyt last year allowed me to relax a bit with a little pressure pushing. But this lift x is jumpy

  7. Totally disagree, Hoyt lst, Mathew 2nd and Darton 3rd. Hoyt is more comfortable to shoot and love tihe draw cycle and hardly no shock.

  8. I feel like dropping two because of speed doesn’t make sense. Why even include them if they aren’t fast enough for you just look at MFJJ’s whiteboard and drop two. It’s not like you are shorting any of the bows at their max speed. Drop the arrow weight a bit or put those Gas strings on and get a few more fps

  9. Finally, someone picked a bow from not made by Mathews, Hoyt, PSE or Bowtech🤣
Excellent review and commentary as you went through the process. I was a little surprised the PSE did so poorly in the speed test for that arrow weight, but it is what it is. Also appreciate that you cited bothe the Mathews and the Darton bow for feeling the most steady at full draw–that is supposed to be PSE's strong suit because they advertise their Full Draw Stability (FDS) system and dynamic brace height–but unfortunately PSE did not make it through the speed test elimination.

  10. I’m biased because I love my bowtech, but I feel like most bowtechs I have shot feel incredible in comfort and kinda shitty in performance. You have to really want that 5 fps. They ship in comfort, in my opinion when shooting in a head to head that’s probably a better representation of the draw cycle.

  11. The PSE appears to have a shorter DL, looks close to an inch shorter than the mathews, my last few PSEs have been short and I've bumped them up a half inch, compared to my last mathews vxr which was 28" but felt like 29"

  12. TIM, COME TO OKLAHOMA TAC I GOT $100 MY TEAM (we ain’t pros) AGAINST YOURS YOU PICK THE COURSE!! LETS GOOOO!!!

  13. Im currently shooting a Folds of Honor edition 35ST² and love it! Dropped my lift for the darton!

  14. Not impressed this time. I'd like to see small, medium and large shooters and sub $500, sub $1000 and $1000 plus winners. A large shooter, not fit and with sloping shoulders has absolutely no correlation to my own requirements. I would prefer Josh' opinion as well. Thanks guys, much appreciated.

  15. I had a lift 33 last year and the second i shot the 33st i immediately sold my mathews and got the sequel in the Folds of Honor edition and ended up getting a matching 35st folds for my all around target bow. Darton definitely made the best bow ive ever shot with these and i had almost all the big names like hoyt, mathews, bowtech, pse, and bear.

  16. you can either buy the mathews or the mathews. You should take the bows outside, your shots are going to be at least 30-40 yards out there in the West.

  17. These bows are made about an hour from where I live here in northern Michigan. They have always had excellent bows and they hold patents on alot of the bow technology out there today. Very cool to see them finally get nationwide recognition which they deserve.

  18. If that bow had a pic sight mount I would have got it. You are going to be nailing the center of every target with that thing.

  19. The tuning features are great we love them no question but let’s not forget WHY we have those tuning features. It’s for nothing more than making the arrow shoot straight. That’s the ONLY value it has.

With that said there’s not a bow on the table that’s not RIDICULOUSLY easy to make the arrow shoot straight. I think y’all are give far too much value to the tuning features bc MFJJ tells yall too and he’s quite honestly not all that good and seems to be learning on the job quite often.

One thing none of yall talk about that holds as much value as anything you guys generally value is how the bow aims down range fully set up. These platforms all have different pin floats and different aiming tendencies that influences accuracy far more than the tuning features draw cycle yada yada

PJ Riley speaks about it other than him it’s the most important lost topic in the industry for guys in your position judging bows.
