  1. I like the idea but for $100 it'd be one of my nicer clubs that I don't want to mess up. My irons were about $800 (used) so they're also about $100 each. I have an old Ping Eye 2 PW that I might Frankenstein into something like this. Those old Pings were built like a tank too.

  2. I have a double face club which has come handy for me because I am RH and when I cannot hit RH I use the Double face club which gets me out of trouble.

  3. As much as I respect the rules of golf, the concern of not damaging my wrists or my joints far outweigh whatever rule the game says I need follow when it comes to hitting into a root of a tree. I think that applies to the vast majority players who don't play golf for a living. Would rather foot wedge a ball rather than pay for a new club or an MRI.

  4. Hey lets play thru!!! Love the content. If you were decide between the ts4 and ts1 im maltby irons which would you go with?

  5. When I played for the first time out in Arizona my playing partners introduced me to the "desert club". I guess they all carry one designated club to take one or 20 for the team. 😂

  6. If I got this I would carry it as a 15th club, because I play for fun and dont care about the 14 club rule. Otherwise, I would replace my regular wedge with this one.

  7. I think they should up it to 15 clubs, where one has to be a copy of another one in your bag loft/lie/shaft length. That club is your desert club, you don’t get the advantage of an extra club but you don’t mess your current set up either. Amateurs don’t have the cash to play everything as it lies

  8. I’m my opinion if you can’t just use a regular club in your bag to get out of a bad situation you should just practice more.

  9. Gabe. In Arizona, we often carry a 15th club in the bag (desert wedge/club). PXG being an Arizona company, this is likely an homage to that.

  10. Just buy a $5 thrift club and throw a grip on it. Dig out the grooves every few rounds. This is such a waste of money nobody asked for

  11. The insignia commemorates Bob Parsons' service as a rifleman (0311) with the 26th Regiment of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

  12. Hahaha a dessert club! When we played in Scottsdale we played with an older guy that went into the dessert and he pulled out a beat up club he called his dessert club! He said that everyone in AZ has one.

  13. Sorry paid too much of my hard earned money on clubs to have to hit a ball off a tree root or rocks! No way. Also I have more respect for my hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders! Too long to heal at my age. Take the ball backwards to a decent lie then hit the ball and save the body and clubs! Not getting paid to play the game.

  14. The divot thing is so strange. If you play a friendly game just move the damn ball ! But you can’t change the rule. There would be endless discussions about what’s a divot and what’s not. Then you might as well play improved lies all the time ! Golf is not fair! It’s not supposed to be ! Stop whining about it !!!!!

  15. I’d like the same thing done with a 2 iron. So many times I find myself under trees and a long way to the green with nothing in front. Or maybe a car width gap to hit through. 2 iron to stay low and distance, 8 iron shaft for accuracy, hard steel for the rocks under the trees. Could also use it as a chipper. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  16. AZ Golfer here, I love this club and its general homage to the unofficial local rule of the 15th club. I just wish this was available in a different loft, almost feels like it was made for unrealistic hero shots. I want a shorter 6 or 7 for easy punches. I can't imagine using a PW our of Desert/Rocks. I just wanna smack the thing back into play, last thing I need is to blade it off a rock.

Also, generally speaking I've always considered the 15th club fine as long as it was identical to another club in the bag and this throws that out the window lol

  17. I am currently trying to choose between the Black Ops irons or GEN 6 P's or GEN 7 P's wanna get 6 to GW and then fill in a couple hybrids I am 60 in March and a 8-10 handicap I take very little divot if any at all i am looking for forgiveness / feel / distance / height / spin Due to location i am unable to go hit balls or get fitted so i must order online was fitted 3 years ago and i have all my stats still what are your thoughts ? or anyone elses would be welcomed also cheers from Canada

  18. Here in the Southeast, do we get a Pine Straw Club? Seems like too much loft to me if you are trying to get out from under tree limbs.

  19. Just throw a cheap thrift store pitching wedge in the bag for this situation.. sharpie some cactus on the back.
