  1. I really like your Freddy drill. Heck, I like all your drills! I love his swing. In slow mo I watched him many times. From the top I rotate my right wrist/forearm out just a little and it starts shallowing the club and getting my elbow to head right to my side with no thought about it doing so.. It puts the club in the right path coming from inside. Golf is interesting in the feels of the swing. If it was easy it wouldn't be any fun.

  2. This guy is the real deal. I used to cruise YouTube for various tips. But Craig's ability to use evidence base golf videos and explain them so well has me focusing on him.

  3. Swing Hanger , For Right handed golfers Should it stay against the left wrist/forearm , past impact ? If it does one would be holding off to full release of the pendulum correct ?

  4. Why not keep the trail elbow closer to your side during the backswing so that you do have to struggle so hard to reattach it on the downswing? I don't understand the benefit in terms of club head speed, quality of contact, distance and dispersion associated with letting the trail elbow drift from the body on the way back. A small drift seems natural, but more than that seems to require a compensation to get the elbow where it belongs on the downswing and at impact. Great video. I am only posting because you are addressing something that causes me trouble and which I am not sure I fully understand. Thank you.

  5. If there is a golf secret, this is it. Keeping the tail arm lower into the ball will put you in a great position to strike the ball.

  6. Nice! Yes that right elbow is a nemesis of mine. David Leadbetter in his VHS tape (I got the DVD version at close out of DVDs) did a good job of emphasizing the right elbow position with different thoughts/drills. Got to try several different methods to find the one that works for you/me. Will give this a try, going to get this right!!! Thank You!

  7. When working on transition moves i really like an impact bag. Why impact bag for transition?? Because you aren't worried about ball contact but you can still replicate the swing. Those pump style drills at the top working on that slot move are great but its nice to be able to feel how it translates into the downswing to impact. You can work on your footwork and lower body squat as well. Not having to worry about ball flight can get you working and focusing on other things without distraction.

  8. Flipping is a symptom of not swinging all the way through the stroke. The right arm is there to simply support and should be relaxed. If you apply leverage to the shaft at any point in your swing you have to make compensatory moves. The left hand should be leading the stroke all the way through and everything everything else follows. Don't believe me take the club up to the backing position and gently swing through with only your left hand attached. The left side of the body will lead through the shot and you will never flip. Try and replicate that when you put the right hand on the club. That's why Fred couples will often barely grip it with his right hand sometimes.

  9. Great lesson. I also find what helps is to practice starting with your trail arm hanging down and palm facing away from the body then grip the club with no or very little turn of the upper arm/elbow so its like the lower wrist section that turns onto the club shaft to take your grip with the inner elbow still facing away from the body.

  10. When I concentrate swinging to the inside of the ball, my elbow automatically comes down into my right pocket and my hands sync with my trail leg.
    Great video Craig!

  11. Great video. The right arm unfolds like a downwards bicep curl. It doesn't swipe across the body in the direction of the target. However, it looks like it does which is an illusion that throws a lot of amateurs off, imo.

  12. Wow this was a revolutionary video. It really looks like “skipping the stone” that everyone talks about, but never explains how to do.
