  1. The land angle seemed very low with the ZXi7 outside. Would you fit into ZXi5 based on those few hits? Land angle seemed way higher with ZXi5

  2. Can't wait till next week when I get in to see these and to try the new Mizunos as well. Curious how they'll compare to what I've been gaming for last 3 plus years.

  3. Great to see the boss man hitting clubs himself. Srixon irons look lovely had a set myself few years back. Probably the best in the business the Sggt lads. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Imagine still believing the shop pro they can fit you just with a 7 iron and a small fitting cart.

  4. Having been fitted for the 545s by the boss man back in the Craigmillar Park days, it’s great to see and hear that you still stand behind the quality that Srixon brings to the table with their irons. They really are one of the most underrated iron brands out there. Did chuckle though at the “oh my back” as the boss stepped outside then proceeded to hit a line ball – definitely prepping for that senior tour debut 🤣

  5. Got fitted off James in Edinburgh last year to replace my ping g430 irons.

Had my heart set on mizuno irons but the zx5 irons were just so much better than anything else I tried, which James put down to the V shape in the sole of the club and explained why the thick sole on the g430 didn’t suit my swing.

From there we tried different shafts and ended up with graphite instead of steel, lie set 1degree flat, and golf pride grips that don’t taper as you grip down: this gave me the confidence to take an extra club and grip down to flight into the wind, something that I really struggled with since I started playing up till now. Changed every grip to these with my existing ones being switched there and then (woods and wedges) and the new irons took a week or so to arrive. The graphite shaft looks like steel and as they’re a little lighter (and I’m finding the centre of the face more consistently) has helped me pick up additional distance Vs pings – which had stronger lofts.

Had lost confidence in my 3 & 4 hybrid so we tried different shafts with original head and also hit a few shots with my 3wood. James advised to change lie on hybrids to flat with existing shafts and add loft through changing setting on the 3 wood. Both really helped and was pleased that James could have talked me into spending money on new shafts but advised on what was the best solution for my swing. Other fitting centres may even have refused to let me hit those shots as I was only booked for an iron session. I’ve now got confidence throughout my set.

Was messaged when components came into stock and also when order was dispatched. Got a follow up message to see how I was getting on a few weeks later too which rounded off a great experience.

Not on social media and this video popped up randomly in my feed which is why I felt compelled to post this.

Great collaborative approach to the process and simply beautiful irons.

I paid a premium for all this compared to other places you can go to get ‘fitted’ and it was worth every penny.

Got £440 from cash for clubs just down the road from the centre for my year old pings, paid straight into my account which definitely softened the blow.
