In this particular segment, we delve into a common issue that many golfers face on the course. If you often struggle with sliding into the golf ball and find yourself getting ahead of the golf ball, or if you don’t have a very stable lower body during your swing, then this helpful drill can significantly assist you in improving your game. This is a super simple yet effective drill that we use to help you learn to feel the ground beneath you, which is crucial for a strong golf swing. It will help quiet your lower body and enable your upper body to rotate through the swing properly, rather than having both your lower body and upper body sliding or leaning in front of it, which can lead to inconsistent shots. In the seat here, we were working closely with the talented Andy Ogletree at the time, who was preparing to play in The Masters as an amateur. He was the US Amateur Champion, and his dedication and skill were evident throughout our session.
