It’s not very often a golf brand brings out something that is a completely new and unique concept, but for 2025 Mizuno are changing the game with their new putter line.

The Mizuno M-Craft X putters could be described as one putter or a full putting system. A unique set of club heads, shafts and hosels can clip together to create 9 different putter configurations so you can dial in their technology to your game.

So how does it work and will it make putting easier? I checked out the new models to find out…

  1. This is really interesting. I'm not someone that changes putter often. had only 2 in 30 years of golfing. Been playing my current putter for 20yrs but am thinking what i can do to improve and tweak with my putting to just get a little bit more consistent roll off the face.

  2. Its like a Meccano set for golfers ergo its awesome in concept.
I would probably like the #5 head – its much like my current putter.
Great vlog – excellent presentation as always
    Cheers

  3. I love the fact that Mizuno have brought this out instead of a zero-torque putter. Looking forward to trying them. You are quickly becoming one of the most intelligent and measured golf gear reviewers on Youtube. Keep doing what you're doing!

  4. Was it Zebra putters years ago you could change the wieghts ? And did they not try to bring it back ?

  5. think this a great idea for fittings but surely then you should be able to buy a 'one piece' putter – but great review as always

  6. I have a mizuno putter, had it about a year. It came with weights and a tool in a nice little case. The grip felt quite good but changed it for a big fat super stroke. I’m a bit heavy handed so the 13 gram weights work well for me. To be fair it’s a nothing special blade style putter but I love it a lot!! Looking lovely out there if it’s ok to say!!

  7. Interesting video! I'm thinking about getting a decent putter later this year. I'm enthralled w/ the Square to Square torque control putter from Odyssey . . . but it really doesn't wow me when I putt with it. And I don't understand the whacky face angle / forward leaning shaft concept. This might be another option. Thank you!!

  8. It does surprise me that companies haven't come out with "replaceable" putter heads before, given how long this tech has been available for drivers. Bravo to Mizuno! 🎉
That #6 had looked really good to me, as well. I like a mallet head putter, and I like the fact that that has adjustable weights.
I'm intrigued with your comment that you putt better with no line on the head.

I notice that the distance and speed with my mallet putter is better than my blade putter, but sometimes, seeing the black line "wiggle" during the stroke cause me to slightly turn, or jerk the face, which causes my putt to start off line, especially on shorter putts. I don't have that issue with my blade, but my distance control isn't as good. I may need to check that out (or just cover the line on the putter). 😂🤷

  9. Mizuno have been making sneaky good putters for a few years. Please review the new Cleveland HB Soft 2 Black with the UST All-In shaft. I believe it might be dollar for dollar or UK pound for pound the best putter in golf.

  10. Dear Hannah Holden Golf

Mizuno owe you millions of pounds! ( For your endorsement)

That is the greatest putting lesson ever: period.

I hope you are prepared for world wide fame and wealth.

That is the greatest masterclass in putting More on putting lessons please about the neck option effects etc

Your putting stroke like you is thing of beauty Please explain how you achieve this? You may have given putting lessons before?

  11. I hadn’t heard about these before. Thanks Hannah, that was really interesting 👍🏻

  12. “This could be bad news for my putter” classic! I could listen to you read a phone book. Thanks for sharing your information and knowledge Ms Hanna. Dr Gus Greenfield Approved.

  13. Good review but Lab and Void already do a much better offering. These look like the face is the same on each and it's just the main "block" of the head that adds on to the back. Not really that progressive in 2025!
A better solution would be to have the putter "head" (bit on the end of the neck) to be smaller and then the different "attachments" to have far more choice. By having the same big size of that head, it limits the options for the choices of the "attachments". Nightmare to describe these 🙂

  14. I've got the original M Craft 6 in the bag and it's staying there until it falls apart….it will then be replaced with another one!

  15. You might like to look up Dave Billings and his HOG and MACHINE putter designs. His company has been running for a couple of decades and I suspect where Mizuno may have had their kernel of an idea?
Putters and putter designs are going to be very interesting going forwards given the stirring up Zero Torque has brought to the table…

  16. Great review Hannah, really surprised the industry hasn’t done this before. I bet all the other companies r&d teams are all looking at each other, going “Why didn’t we think of this?”.

  17. Really great idea by Mizuno so you can find the neck you like and then test which head works best. Another great review Hannah you speak in an easy to understand way that is relatable to us ordinary golfers

  18. ZT is the bandwagon. Definitely brave not to do one…

I've always understood this as simply "1 style is cheaper at point of first purchase" – but lots of us have multiple putter styles and removable weights too. So multiple styles is more a fitting thing, then you commit to one.

  19. I'm generally using my dad's Pinseeker brass putter from 1980's apart from it being far to long for me, its all I've ever used for putting. But I do love this innovation from Mizuno, their irons which I currently play are amazing too!

  20. Great review. Would love to see a review of Smithworks putters if you can get them. Small company with interesting products, based not too far from you in the North East of England.

  21. Evnroll have done that for quite a few years, you can unscrew the shaft and the neck and interchange with any of their other neck options. Its a lot cheaper than buying a new putter.

  22. Great video Hannah interesting and innovative concept for putters. You again, explained and showed the differences and why’s of each design. Thank you for the informative content.

  23. Thanks Hannah, nice review. I wonder why Mizuno didn't include the white alignment lines on the 7 version. I need all the help I can get 🙂

  24. This is genius! I did go to a putter fitting and ended up being told that I do best with a double bend shaft of 34" length. The heads seemed to be a matter of feel or taste. But, as you noted, most manufacturers don't make putter heads with a choice of shafts like they do for drivers. Being able to pick and choose components is a big change for the better.
