2024 was a massive year for me and for this channel, I started the year with a swing that I thought was pretty good and boy was I wrong. Watching this swing back when editing the video was brutal, I wanted to cringe and look away. Ultimately though creating this video was one of the best things I’ve done for myself becuase it showed me just how far I’ve come and how much I’ve learned about the golf swing that I’m now able to better Identify mistakes. Despite still having some bad scores I’m getting much better and much closer to a swing I feel confident in. In this video we look at swings for the whole year but I’ve only been pro for 9 months, and sometimes I need to remind myself of that, 9 months is basically no time at all compared to other players, I need to cut myself some slack. #golfjourney #golf #dreamchaser #golfswing #improveyourgolf

have you tried lessening your lead arm adduction angle on the backswing, as in not taking the lead arm back as far, like imagine if your hands didnt go behind your right titty…if your upper spine was a little straighter with a less steep angle in your shoulders at the top of the backswing and with the club less laid off, would that create a scenario where your hands/club don't fall behind?
the reason i say this is because pause at the top of your backswing and look how if you were to straighten your thoracic spine, look how laid off the club is relative to everything now, if your spine was a little straighter there would that allow you to get better width with your rear elbow (combined with a reduced lead arm adduction angle) and keep your hands/club from falling behind?
edit: (meant to ask if that laid off-ness relative, causes an increased amount of time during the downswing, which is when the hands/club fall behind?)
btw I could be way off also and I'd like to learn why that'd be a bad move, I know there's a lotta different swings. I have no formal education (nor lessons) in golf.
I have definitely found that keeping it simple is the best way. If youre gonna make a change. Small and one at a time. Your swing is very nice, I definitely wouldnt want to see you chasing stuff you dont need to. Hope you have a great 2025, sir! Rooting for ya!
