Know your shot pattern. everyone has a pattern, play to your pattern while you’re improving it with lessons and practice.
Be realistic with your carry distances. most trouble is short of the green, take enough club!
Play the shots you can and the shots you’ve practiced. Flop shots that you only attempt once per month when needed on the course wont work. Chip to the big part of the green if possible.
Assess the lie . Especially around the green, some shots just wont work in awkward lies.
