Ping are highly regarded when it comes to game-improvement irons and for good reason. They often provide a high performance option for golfers looking for extra forgiveness in their irons and the 2025 release is no different. This Ping G440 Irons review will take you through the improvements Ping have made in order to produce impressive results – a new set of irons, that for most golfers, will deliver performance benefits.

Ping are certain that golfers are going to hit the ball higher and more consistent with these in play. I started out by testing the nine iron and I was immediately impressed with the numbers from Trackman.

On the first few strikes I found it easy to launch the ball into the air off the club face, reaching a peak height of 90ft. I also had the ball spinning at 7800rpm which is ideal for a shorter iron and was a pleasant surprise for me considering I generally tend to struggle to launch the ball into the air with plenty of spin from game-improvement irons, they usually come out low, hot and long.

Welcome to NCG Your Golf. This channel is for you, the dedicated club golfer to help you improve your game and enjoy your golf more.

We specialise in equipment reviews and golf instruction, and we are lucky enough to play some of the Top 100 golf courses in GB&I.

The channel is hosted by PGA Professional Jack Backhouse, and he will help you improve your golf by helping you fix your slice, fix your gook, help you drive the ball longer, strike your irons pure, and help you draw and fade your golf shots.

Steve Carroll, an R&A rules official will often stop by to ensure you are not breaking the rules and get the opinion of an average club golfer.

Jack will dive deep into technology in reviews of all the latest golf equipment, helping you decide which is the longest driver, which fairway wood will stop you from topping the ball, and which wedges will pitch it closer, so you can lower your scores.

  1. These look good. I almost bought a new set of the G430’s until I checked out the new PXG Black Ops irons. I bought the Pxg & got the Heros discount. 👍🏻🇺🇸

  2. I'm interested in these as well but the vast majority of players are not hitting their 7iron with 88mph club speeds. With average swing speed I'm concerned the height and spin will be missing.

  3. its all about decent angle stopping power. i stil use G 25 irons. senior flex. not going to het better numbers with the. G 440s. cottecty?
