I swapped to the S23 wedges last season and fell in love once I got acquainted with them. Great feel, control, and some built in forgiveness without looking bloated.
I play the SM8s. Haven't gotten in enough rounds the last 2 seasons to need to replace them. Maybe after this season.
No, Vokey isn’t scared. They have such a huge following that most won’t consider another brand. Good to have solid options though! Cleveland wedges are what work best for me!
I love my Mizuno T23 cavity backed Wedges. So much more control than I've ever experienced with wedges. I'm hoping to keep mine in my bag for another couple of seasons. But with any forged club/wedge. They will wear quicker. I've had mine for a season. Besides sand scratches which can be normal with any wedge. These are holding up great.
Thanks for these reviews. Keep up the great work.
I love Mizuno's S-23 wedges and have both the 54 and 58. I like having the CG more in the center of the club face than the heel and they're a natural extension of my JPX21 irons.
I've just updated my wedges with Indi Golf wedges. Full face grooves, and at a bargain price of $99 each. Great feel off the face. You should test them.
Just in time for the American Renaissance!!!
300 to 400 dollars for a set of wedges vokeys will never be in my bag
Selling my sm8s to put takomo in the bag this year
Being able to hit the flat skipper is my need . I tried the mizuno a few years ago and they just popped straight up
High handicap and still playing the same wedges from 3 years ago. I get the most from my clubs because I use the whole club face haha 😂
Don’t know how a forged metal will have coating that will last longer than a non forged metal.
I’m hopeful mizuno did not say that cause that’s a wildly statement
I"m a +12; change my wedges every week; 6 rounds a week.
I still love the Pxg sugar daddy wedges
Maybe it is the picture…. but I see no milling….. look at Lazrus Wedges v style… The Milling is Fantastic at a much better price….
Wonder how the T-1 compares to the T24
I like the cb looks of the T3, makes me the odd man out here, lol!
I only change my wedges when i get new irons my steath irons had 450ish rounds of golf on them as did the wedges I am 60 and a 8 handicap I try to golf 150 – 175 rounds a season from march15th to October 15th great video Gabe cheers from Canada
I’m a 6.8 index ,live in the Pac NW, it gets soupy in the winter so I play high bounce wedges in wet seasons, mid to low bounce wedges in the late spring/summer. My winter wedges currently Cleveland CBX2 (54.10,58.12) , Summer I switch to RTX Zipcore Tour Rack (54.10, 58.9) been playing a mizuno JPX 919 Gap for a few years and it spins great, I only buy wedges on sale, or floor models/demos, I never pay over $125/wedge.
I've played the S23's for two seasons and I played about 80 rounds each year. I use the 54 degree very frequently and I looked closely at it with my club fitter yesterday and we were amazed how little wear it is showing. I can see my strike location no problem but the grooves still feel sharp. I am astonished considering how soft they feel. Before the release of these T series wedges I picked up a 58 degree Callaway Opus which I loved when testing wedges. I will probably pick up a 50 and 54 in the Opus to stay consistent but This T series looks very nice.
For that price you can look at any premium brand wedge
Ben Hogan wedges are forged and under $100 for heads only.
I change my wedges out every 2 1/2 to 3 years. When the spin starts to go (when it becomes a noticeable difference to my game).
